I bought a Peuguot 207 june 2007, found the Bristol Trade Centre staff to be very helpful, maybe i was a bit naive but the manager petrified me! Car overpriced, felt pressured by management to buy, scared to leave. When i got home, back door jammed and wouldnt open.Salesmen really helpful but manager still gives me nightmares now. I sold car as couldnt get problem sorted.

I just bought a car brom BTC and happy with my car although I've only had it less then a month.
What I would say is they will try and sell you all kinds of covers & insurances at around £399 each coming to around £1.000 so look and look again before you sign anything and be firm if you dont need them or want them and you proberbly wont say no thanks the pressue will come as thats where they earn the bonus from so stick to your guns.
NEXT I asked what there APR% was and was given a fi ...

i bought a vauxhall vectra in may 2006 from bristol trade center... wish i never bothered! they were very pushy and myself and my friend that was with me at the time felt very intimidated by the staff there. i was asked towards the begining of the transaction if i wanted my car to be valeted at a fee. i very clearly said NO! when going through my order form i asked about gard x that i was being charged £500 for. the kind gent told me that that was a payment protection plan. turns out that ...

I went in, and put down a £100 deposit on a car. Being a bit new at car selling I went along with it, and also got told I could get a car on 7% finance. I came back the next day and realised the 7% was really 18% and they told me my deposit was non-returnable so I proceeded.
The car had seat and air bag problems, I took it back 3 times to be repaired, no luck and they wouldn't touch it after the warranty ran out.

I brought a Peugeot 307. Well after about an 8 months the car started to fall apart, and the turbo died, repair cost me £870, nearly a month ' s wages. I phoned BTC to check how to clame my cash back... apparently none of the staff I spoke to were available. The clever team had also managed not to place the paperwork for this in my pack. So, I paid the £870+ for the repairs. Oh - now my MOT is due, could cost a lot as the windscreen has a crack and the rear light don ' t work (admi ...

Would definitely recommend. Saved over £1600 on our Toyota Rav4 compared to Toyota dealer and 11000 miles better.

Purchased a 2002 Renault Clio in May 2008 with an additional warranty. Had a recurring problem that causes the car to stall at slow speed. BTC took a brief look at the car and said they'd fixed it, although the car still stalls.
Have since tried to get them to look at it, but they say I must pay because it is not covered by the warranty.
Now we want to sell the car, but without history it is difficult. Paid £4000 less than a year ago and now the car is worth £2000 or less due to t ...

Bought a Vauxhall Vectra from them Sept 06. £10000, with 44000 miles on clock - top of range, and paid £250 towards warranty. In first eight months in Feb 07 had to have brand new gear box & radiator (cost £3000), in May now has to have work done on power steering (£600). I bought a warranty and they have not paid a penny towards it! Do not buy their warranty. Waste of time and money, have spoken to them don't seem interested!
When I tried to get car fixed, I never had ...

I put a deposit on a car on Sunday 28th Jan, the car did need a few things doing, the front bumper and headlight had to be replaced, the windscreen repaired and the rear bumper needed a respray. They agreed that I could pick the car up the following Saturday and everything would be done on it. During the week I was waiting I went to the DVLA to get my plate transfer done (as they don't do this) and I was given a copy of the new MOT they had done, which they had given me, but they purposely did n ...

We searched for our new car on autotrader and found them this way. Hadn't read these reviews at that stage. We had narrowed our search down to 1 of three cars and applied for the web price certificates. They came through via email within seconds and about 30 minutes later got a call from them on my mobile letting me know that of the three, 2 were at their Bristol site and the 3rd was at their Essex site. They arranged to have it moved to Bristol (We placed a £100 deposit via credit card) a ...

We visited Bristol Trade Centre's showroom around a year ago so the wife could look at lots of different models side by side. They ended up selling us a car on a finance deal and we handed over £100 deposit. After messing us around for almost a week, they came back and said that the best deal they could do was for £60 pm over what we had agreed. I cancelled the transaction and asked for our deposit back as they couldn't honour their side of the deal. After another week of ringing ...

We purchased a car on Finace with Bristol Trade Centre and was straight away given a rubbish price for both of our cars. We still went ahead as we really wanted the car. We were asked if we wanted a £1000 cashback which we thought about and agreed to as we thought it would come in handy. We were promised this cheque on the Monday but when it came to it we couldn't pick the cheque up so we kept calling and calling and they kept coming up with excuses over and over again - we were then t ...

Car was driven to work by my wife, a midwife on nights, when she went to start it the next day, the battery was dead. Called out the RAC who said the battery was useless and the jump start points were uncovered, which if shorted, could cause serious damage. Waiting for a new battery to arrived from Bristol Trade Centre

Also,be warned, these cars are NOT serviced before leaving Bristol Trade Centre- "to keep the cost down we were told"

From what I have found at Bristol Trade Centre talk is cheap. I will never buy another car from there. I had to almost fight to get my deposit back (which they say you can have when you pick up your car) they deposited my bank account gave me a recipt and then took it back after I'd gone. Customer service ha!! Well done Bristol Trade Centre you had me a good one (after thought) I wish I had me Madza back.

New owners same attitudes. Get you in very plausibly implying they have what you want then try & keep you hanging on whilst they "get their stock in" or attempt to sell an alternative you didn't really want.

The Bristol Trade Centre Car Supermarket took advantage of my ignorance to sell me a Fiat with no red key - an essential component of the engine management system. They knew full well it should have had one.
Also, their garage at the back replaced the exhaust manifold on the warranty even though it was faulty when I bought the car (the terms say all faults should be fixed before the warranty starts).
