    Good Points: Nice food, staff polite and helpful.


    Bad Points: Rooms not particularly well appointed, pool freezing, noisy, rooms overlooking car park.


    General comments: Feel this hotel struggles to be a 4* when compared to Hotel Garbe nearby. Our room was badly situated, other Europeans seemed to have the rooms with a pool or sea view, our request to move was denied, even though people moved in next-door and within a few hours had moved. Cleaning was late in the day, bathroom not very well cleaned, balconies small and poor.

    The staff at the Amarcao de Pera Villa Gal Nautico are very polite but working under strenous conditions - I bet they are paid peanuts too!

    This four star (very much overrated hotel) will have to be demoted to a 3 or 2 star. Rooms are at 5 or 6pm, walls are thin so you can hear people walking and talking on corridors. You have to hire and pay for a fridge and as well as locker for personal effects. Even in 3star hotels these are given freely.I can never recommend this hotel till management ...
