“Metal Shard in Food, Terrible Service”

Written on: 21/02/2012 by SRSmith (1 review written)

Ordered a take away from here for my partner and I. The food was reasonable untill I found a shard of metal, roughly the size of a staple in my meal. The restaurant manager then continued to argue with me over whether or not I should recieve a refund for the meal. Only upon threatening to write a negative review and report them to Environmental Health did they agree to refund the dish only. After contacting again and further rudeness from the manager they eventually agreed that it was not... (read more)

We often eat here or get a take away and the food is always excellent. The BEST sweet and sour chicken I've ever had and the staff are lovely (except one grumpy bloke, but we don't see much of him)

I think for the quality of the food, it's excellent value.

Whenever we have a take away, it's always delivered under half an hour and is hot when it arrives.

I recommend this place REALLY highly.

I have eaten at this resturant maybe 4 or 5 times. The 5th time was my last, when I went with my Wife, and 3 guests that had flown in from Denmark. We all shared a set menu. It tasted nice, sure. But the next day ALL 5 of us were suffering from food posining. We all could not leave our toilets.

We did not follow this up with any officials as it was a hectic week for us. We just dont eat there anymore. (read more)

Four of us went to Chinese Cottage on a Thursday night, they were fairly busy, before we even sat down, the waitress asked us what we wanted to drink. She then came back five minutes later to ask us what we wanted to eat !!! The food was good but overpriced for what you got. (read more)
