“Terrible after sales”

Terrible after sales, bought a NEW van and went faulty in 6 WEEKS under 1000miles and they told me I had to wait 6 DAYS, yes 6 DAYS for them to even look at it. Also no replacement and as I need the van for my business I was 100's of pounds now down. PLEASE anyone thinking of buying from these people ask in writing about the after sales!!! “Slip it back in the bag and hope he doesnt notice.”

The last time my ( low profile sports alloys ) came off my car was when Arnold Clark Lang Stracht Aberdeen took them off to replace my brake pedal cylinder. They popped the wheel locking nut back in the bag and put it in my glove box. I ordered and paid for 4 winter tyres yesterday 23.11.16 as my current tyres were slipping terribly in the ice and scaring me. I went to ATS to collect them today. I just want to stress my concerns about ‘Arnold Clark Craigshaw Branch Aberdeen’. Firstly I bought my car in 2013 from a ‘trainee’ sales advisor called Okey who told me the first would be £170 monthly for 3 years. Fine I bought the car. After the first payment being taking out of my bank it was £200 which is £30 more than what we agreed and signed for. I bought a new Toyota Yaris and took out a Service Plan. Some weeks later I decided to gift the car to my daughter who lives in Plymouth. I later discovered that there was no AC Toyota for a very long way away from Plymouth to do the servicing. I wrote to AC to request cancellation of the plan and refund of premium - not only was I told that it was not only non-refundable but non-transferable and that there would be no refund. I went to view a fiat 500 1.2 pop on 11th October at Arnold Clark Preston - on viewing the vehicle i noticed that the wing/headlamp (passenger side) bonnet and bumper were all misaligned. I mentioned this to the salesman who agreed the panels were misaligned but also confirmed the vehicle had not had any form of repair work. went to look at a used car for nearly £13,000. Salesman told us we would be mad to buy it as he could get us a brand new car for the same price. Went for a test drive and the price stated by salesman as £13,500. Near enough so I said I would be back next day to confirm. So I looked on the website, chose a car, called Arnold Clark. Cleared relevant checks etc and arranged to pick up car in a few days time. (Deposit taken) the branch where I had to pick up car was 3 hours away from home but didn't mind that because I was getting a good reliable family car. Although they confirmed the car was available within the 12 week period , which I was happy about.The delivery date was confirmed, and I agreed to go to them to pick up. Visited the dealership to buy a new Abarth, as the website advertised a great deal. Turns out there were no cars available at this price. Despite complaining and being offered some small discount, the advertised car at the advertised price was merely an illusion. Some week or so later these imaginary cars at imaginary prices are still being advertised. Brought a New Fiat 500X from Arnold Clark Oldbury West Midlands, had a number of issues with the vehicle with has been disappointing, but its been the poor customer service provided by their rude, arrogant, Reception Service Department staff that has really disappointed me. I found the actual engineers knowledgeable and they carried out any repairs to my satisfaction. My Peugeot Tepee Expert (taxi) has been the most problematic car ever, at 39k miles it required a new flywheel and clutch which Arnold Clark Peugeot Inverness would of quite willingly charged me £1500 for had I not complained. The next visit was to get the window washers to operate properly. After 15 months on the road the thing started to rattle so got the Anti Roll Bar replaced on warranty. This is where I have a real problem, the N/S Driveshaft inner boot band snapped they said it was wear… Read Full Review

We have been looking around over the last 2 weeks for a car to replace our 6 year old car. We were prepared to spend around £15000 for the right car. “Let down and disapointed.”

Totally let down by Arnold Clark St Helens after my car which is still under warrenty flooded with water leaving me unable to drive the car. My complaint has been passed to trading standards after 6 weeks due to the poor workmenship carried out and disapointing customer service. Not only did they refuse to look at the car without a £60 fee when they did finally look at the car they returned it without removing any of the wet carpets, mats or seats.
