“Lost Alloywheel Key”

Bought a new fiesta from Arnold Clark Aberdeen. Sales personnel could not be more helpful. However the alloy wheel nut key went missing when they changed the puncture repair kit for a spare wheel. Thought it would be easy to get a replacement key. Arnold Clark provided me with an estimate of £160 to take of locking nuts and replace. I bought a pre registered VW from here, the salesman stated as it was under warranty, that if anything should go wrong and require attention, to contact the service dept as they could sort out all warranty work, without having to go to the main VW dealership, What a fool I was to believe that statement, I have had a couple of occasions were I needed to contact them regarding warranty work, and both times, I was fobbed off, with service saying they do not do warranty work. I have purchased a second hand Mercedes Benz , Arnold Clark in August 2014 The car that has been sold to me, under Road Traffic legislation, was not roadworthy. This means that it was not safe for me, my family and for other road users. I have reported several issues with the car within 1-2 days of driving it to Arnold Clark. Bought a 8 month old Car for £1500 no service history, pre sale health check, incorrect mileage. Had the car 6 months now and it has been with AC for 7 weeks of the 6 months for the same fault and the dumbo mechanics have not a clue what to do or how to repair it. They have told me on 7 occasions that's it now repaired only to find whilst driving home after each repair that it has not been solved. My daughter bought a Citroen C3 from the "Value" range at Arnold Clark in Oldbury for £3,500. Ten months later it failed to start and we took it to a local garage for diagnostics and repair. I went to Arnold Clarke in Stretford and ordered a new Corsa with a guy there. after changing my mind it took 5 weeks to be issued a refund. I ended up calling Arnold Clarke 4-5 times a day, leaving messages with nobody ever getting back to me. Finally after approx 3 weeks I was assured my refund had been paid into my account which it hadn't. Offered £2500 PX only to receive a call a few days later to say HPI check had shown my px to be a cat d write off but not to worry the sale could go ahead but they would have to take £1000 off PX. Please note this is my experience and I have condensed Five weeks of hell into a few paragraphs as the list was endless. Arnold Clarks Leeds have great deals, please listen to the staff as they lie between lines. When they are giving you a years warranty and servicing this is charged on your bill £500+. The word given is not the same as free which is true but they don't tell you the price you are paying for them to give you it either. READ all you sign. “Terrible experience, with the car, the garage and Vauxhall”

I bought a brand new car from Arnold Clark. When the engine cooked its self because of a fault with the cooling pump. Although one month out of warranty I expected a car to last more that 37 months. I was faced with a four figure bill and felt blamed for it. The staff were never symperthetic or wanted to assist me. I felt some contribution or discount on work would have been decent! “£75 + VAT Diagnostics Fee to Check Issues with new car”

I spoke to Arnold Clark (Blackpool) by phone today about a couple of problems I have with my Chevrolet which is under manufacturer's warranty. I didn't buy it from them but they are the nearest main dealer to my home. The car which has less than 9000 miles on the clock doesn't go into 1st gear easily, and on several occasions recently, it has been a bit jerky at low speeds (20 - 30mph). When I purchased the car I paid for the service plan and a 24 month extended warranty. I don't want to elaborate too much, but this garage has had my car for a total of 6 weeks over the last 9 weeks and on four separate occasions. My God! I wish I had read these reviews prior to ordering a new car from their Morecambe branch. Has already been delayed by another month. I am dreading having to deal with them now, feel sick to the stomach.

I saw a car that I liked on the internet advertised at arnold clark (Vauxhall) in ayr. I drove 100 miles round trip to see the car which seemed ok. there were only a couple of quite bad stone chips on the front of the car which I pointed out to the salesman, but he said that he would see his manager about fixing them as part of the deal.
