Good Points: Helpful and kind dealers

Bad Points: Refused to give money back

General comments: I bought a Nissan Primera about 2 years ago. It was fine, I had a few problems with it they sorted it out. Until the problem came when it was the final straw. It was a hot day, just about to put my auto window down, I pushed the button... crash. The window just fell into the door.

I took it to my Nissan dealer Ancaster, in Penge, around Crystal Palace area. They fixed it giving me a 24 hour wait for the glue to dry, so I could not use the window. The time passed, it was fine for a few months when it started again, but it was not a serious problem.

I was on holiday in Broadstaris, when it all went wrong. I pressed the window, and it reformed it's shape upside down, and again crashed into the door. Unable to put it back up, luckily I found a dealer just outside Ramsgate, Dumpton Park Nissan. They put it back up, but it was unable to use, and charged me £35 even though I told him the car was still under guarantee. Telling me that I could claim the money back off of my dealer, I was grateful he helped me out.

Got back to my dealers, told the story... 'crap' he said. 'Not true' another said. He said that he could give me the money back if I wanted, but it would be coming out of his pocket. Knowing that was unfair, I got home and called the Nissan Customer Services, told them, and said I had to pay them for labour charge?

I didn't really know what to believe and I took the Head Offices address, and posted a letter to them.

I know it's only 35 quid, but don't mean to say I'm gonna let them get away with it.
