Good Points: The Hotel and location are fab!! Overlooking the sea and a lovely beach. The Hotel is very Grand and impressive. Park for kids great, pool great, slides great.
Bad Points: Food is so repetitive. I do not go on holiday looking for British food at all but the food in this Hotel is all Turkish and does not even repeat weekly but daily, the same slop turned up again and again. Mushy veg and barely any fruit unless you like water melon every day, morning, noon and night. The staff are in training for the Title of Worst Hotel Staff ever. They are rude, ignorant, unhelpful and I honestly cannot say a single nice thing about the staff in this Hotel. The girls on reception smiled when we arrived and that was it. No smiles for the rest of the holiday. The sun bed fiasco is a disgrace. You have to be up by 7am at the latest to get a bed and then you have to stay on it until 8am, otherwise they will take your towels off but only selected beds! This caused fights at the pool most days. The Hotel shop is really expensive and food (ie crisps and sweets) are not allowed to be brought in from outside, your bag will be searched if it looks like you may be smuggling!
General comments: The Hotel and Location are great. The little beach just down from the Hotel is lovely and so is the Marina Beach Bar, which serves lovely food and drink (which you pay for). If the staff were even slightly pleasant, the food would be the only problem. I have gone All Inclusive for 10 years now and think this will be the last unless recommended by a friend.

We have just come back from Didum Beach on 28th May 2007.
Do not listen to the negative reviews. The hotel is fantastic, the choice of food was good, the food was hot, covered and constantly topped up. There was lots of staff in the restaurant and the chef's where standing proudly by the food. If you want fish and chips and burgers "Blackpool style" like some of the guests then you will be disappointed but if you want to experience a multitude of fine Turkish cuisine with lots of alternatives i ...

The Didum Beach Resort is a lovely clean hotel, good food. Not a lot to do in Altinkum unless you want to buy in the area.
Full of bars, and estate agents.
Limited entertainment
Rented a scooter and was told needed to buy petrol .No petrol never made it to station plus had flat tyre.

Didum Beach Resort:
As a party of 18 ranging in age from 22 - 70, we had no complaints at all. The rooms are large with modern decor and facilities. The food was Turkish - as you'd expect- freshly made and well presented. The pool and beach are kept spotlessly clean The beauty parlour is a great way to spend an afternoon being pampered at a very reasonable cost. Follow that with a session in the Turkish bath. A wonderful experience and you will be well looked after by Ali and his team. Altinku ...

Altinkum, Didum Beach Resort - Overall hotel very nice. Me and my husband really enjoyed it. Wouldn't like to go in the summer when the kids are off... No entertainment at night, the best food was the breakfast, and the stir fry on a Sunday night. People really friendly. But is a long way from airport, 1 and half hours, it's a long way but worth it if you want to stay on complex, go on the trips, well worth it, you get to see how they live and you do want to come back to England and be gratefu ...
