Good Points: Good sound, lots of extra features (retro record, vox record, lots of user settings but see bad points below)

Bad Points: Bad radio reception, doesn't remember some settings when switched off, won't accept MMC cards, no backlight

General comments: Archos Ondio has great features but has a few MAJOR problems, i have tried to use MMC cards with it and i always get the error message 'No FAT file system, please format card' - there is not in-built formatting, using winxp formatter DOES NOT format the card to the Ondio128's standard neither!. Took unit back for replacement - unit no2 exactly the same, tried different MMC card, just the same. Also both ondios wouldn't remember their user customised settings once switched off. i.e. retro record would default back to 'off' after reboot. Also the radio signal is rubbish, I cannot get a signal without hiss (and i also need to tune slightly below the frequency), signals on my other mp3 players are fine. Buy something else until Ondio sort this out, they have a rubbish customer helpline - they avoided all my e-mails saying it wasn't their problem.
