    Good Points: Excellent price for an mp3 player. This device is very durable. Plays even 320 kbps mp3s without a hitch. The battery life is exceptional. I get a month [about 36 hours] of use.


    Bad Points: Hard to navigate because of the seven character display. If you are one hour into a three hour mp3 (podcast) you cannot resume if you loose the position because of low battery or you take the CD out. You have to start listening from the beginning all over again. Volume level a bit too low.


    General comments: I originally bought the SONY D-NE518CK to listen to mp3s in my car but am yet to use it there. This player has a very powerful processor. It plays very high bitrate mp3s without skipping. Even mp3 pro. Mine actually fell pretty hard on the ground and it still works perfectly. If only one could navigate into a podcast that lasts several hours and increase the volume level this player would be the best.

    The Sony D-NE518CK is a fantastic little gadget for the musical listener to have. No more carrying CD's with them evrywhere they go. Just sort all your Favourites onto 1 Disk. Great job.
