It is a great cd player. Once, accidentally water got into it, and it survived. It is easy to use and really portable. The only issue about it, is that the sonic stage burner fails when you try to burn cd's with data close to the 80 MB. (read more)

I have had this Sony D-NE511 discman for about 3 years now. I love it, despite the things I mentioned in bad points. There is a newer version with those improved (afaik DNE 711).

But I don't care about that, I think this player is great value, it has lasted me 3 years. (read more)

Sony claim upto 80 hours running from a pair of standard AA batteries for this Sony DNE-511 Portable CD player. From my experience, I'd say YES IT DOES!!

Combine that with the ability to play back MP3 CD's that you've created on your PC and you've got the ideal CD player for taking away on holiday, trips, days out etc.

I paid £80.00 for this model last year but I think it has come down by 20% since then. Thoroughly recommended. (read more)
