My 2004 NSR125 looks and rides brill. Its a lil noisy being a 2 stroke but the power band makes up for it.Really comfy and great in cold conditions as the fairing protects your legs.Very easy to ride...recommend to all new riders out there

Only had this bike for a month, fully derestricted it, growls along at a steady 100 now, acceleration is 0-60 in about 6 seconds, easy to get the restictors out, although tricky gettingto them. Absolutely wonderful bike, just make sure you get tires that you can lean with. This bike is so beautifuly balanced and you can really lean on it. Safe journeys.

Bought a Honda NS125R Alcast as step up in my learning process, having basically learnt to ride on a cheap chinese 125. As it turns out, it was a great idea. The Alcast italian import is unrestricted, variously defined as 28-32 BHP, and as such has the performance you'd expect from a 125 right up until the revs go past 8000 - then it just gets crazy. The bike pulls smooth and clean past 90mph (I weigh 18 stone, so it says a lot for the bike that it can move me that fast), and the handling is sublime, it's increasingly hard to lose confidence approaching corners because it seems there's nothing this bike can't get around with an almost indiscernable shift of weight. Flips in and out of corners with incredible ease, and as long as you bounce the revs around 8500-10000 there's more than enough power to accelerate smoothly through anything.
Outside of the fundamental handling, this bike is beautifully balanced for filtering - did a straight run of 4 miles between static traffic yesterday and only put my feet down twice, it's just so effortless to control once it's rolling. I agree with reviewers of the 125RR, the bike does feel heavy at low (slowride) speeds, but I'm getting used to it.
Recommend 100% to everyone that wants a good intermediate bike before moving up to litre plus.

Ok here we go. I owned a Skyjet about 3 months which i bought from a so called "bike specialist" in Rugby Warickshire, it was naff and slow, I thought that biking was suppose to be fun and enjoyable, needless to say i got bored of it. Then i thought i would try another bike so i bought the Honda NSR125 from a local garage and guess what, it was GREAT!!!! i've loved every second on it, other bikers pay u more attention and nod as you ride past them and the bike feels alot more secure on the straight and u can lean into any bend and know it's going to be ok, also the power is fab! All in all, if you can't afford an NSR save up and WAIT until you can!!!! Bought my skyjet for £800 and the NSR only cost me £1000 on an 02 plate.

I've done all the research on the Honda NSR RR 125, great bike... way way bigger then any 125 i've seen. Getting one within a week... i've sat on a few, sounds good, comfortable. All reviews i've seen says its a great bike! can't wait...

Overall great learner bike, it ' s light, quick, and handles lovely.
looks a lot bigger then most 125's. I pulled up next to my mates Honda 250cc and the bike wasn ' t a lot smaller. The only trouble ive had is I sometimes find it hard to find nentral, and occasionally 1st if I stop at a junction.
I recommend this bike to anybody that wants a sporty looking 125.

The best 125 ever made in my opinion. Very fast, probably the fastest 125 ever, comfortable, better for the taller rider.

I have an imported Honda NSR125R super sprint (38bhp). The performance is awsome for a 125. 0-60 between 5-6 seconds. The bike looks a lot bigger than a 125 as well, apart from the exhaust. Very agile and with practice you can get your knee right down. This bike is a fantastic 1st bike. unrestricted you get all the thrills of the Aprilla RS125 with out the head ache when the thing breaks down again. Mine is 2001 model. Paid £1500 for it in mint condition and only 6300 miles on the clock. Serious fun for the money.

The built quality of Honda is amazing, owned this bike for 5 months now, so far no major problems, the speed is amazing, equal to most 250cc four stroke bikes.

Got my Honda NSR after I had an Aprilia which broke after 4 days of working out how to get it above 6 rpm and 12 mins after getting it working at full power before the engine seized! The NSR had it for 3 months. Has not let me down in is a great bike, looks good, always getting comments, easy to de-restricted (ps I didn't tell you that).

Ive had mine for 2 months abd have had no problems at all. Before this I had a aprilia rs 125, worst decision of my life, the rs is so unreliable and broke down on the first day of using it, maybe I was unlucky with the bike I choose but I still would pick the nsr anyday of the week.

I have had my Honda for just over 2 months - not long I know - but the bike has been brilliant for a seven year old bike. You never get one with the lasting solidarity as the NSR125 has. Not a bike that demands constant care when fully tuned will do 115mph 0-60 5-6 seconds what other 125's offer that without blowing up next week?
written by dandan18 on 12/02/2007
Mine will top out at 100mph, when I first got this I could scrape about 80mph maximum. Then I took the exhaust off and the power valve in the head was seized. I freed it off, and it went like an R1 - it's power is amazing!

Mine is derestricted and is so is fast, everyone tells me it looks bigger then a 125. I've had no trouble with reliability and build quality so I would say they are great. If your 17 and want a good 125 get a honda nsr, i would recommend one defo. get the 2001 models and later.

The Honda NSR RR is a very good bike. Not just for beginners. I've raced my mate on his RS125 and much faster. I put a full Arrow system on and it does sound a lot better. After a few weeks someone nicked the exhaust! Just the exhaust and not the bike. My dad felt sorry for me so he bought a Ginelli system which is a lot more effective than the Arrow.

If you put the fuel to "on" then it will run out. You then change it to "Res" (Reserve" - this will give you another 20 - 30 odd miles. That's instead of the petrol light. I did that myself after changing from a 1994 Honda NSR.

This is an excellent bike for all those who are new to biking. Alright it's not that fast but it makes up for that in the build quality and reliability. Keep it standard and it will serve you well. Never had any problems with mine very reliable. I've had two accidents and the baby is fine, starts right back up again and ready to role. My mates have had cagiva, aprillia and the rest they leave me I'll admit but their bikes spend more time off the road than on. This bike inspires a lot of confidence and is a great first time bike to get road sense etc to get you ready for a real bike. If you want a fast bike,= funnnnnnnnnnnn and have got more money than sense get an apprillia or cagiva they are very fast 4 125's.
