Good Points: Excellent value for money, sound quality superb, very light, batteries last for ages and ages
Bad Points: NONE!
General comments: Got a refund for a faulty CD player which I bought a while ago, and had seen the Panasonic SL-SX315 CD Player in the Argos catalogue and thought it looked gorgeous, and was a snip at just £39.99.
If you want a basic personal CD player, but don't have a lot of money to play with then this is a perfect choice. The sound quality is truly amazing for a player of this price (but I'm not surprised because the Panasonic minidisc recorder that I own also sounds amazing, and inspired me to buy more Panasonic products).
Also there is an X-Bass setting which increases the bass only and still keeps the treble sounding good. Plus the Live setting adds a little bit of reverb and works well with classical recordings.
There are two anti-shock settings. The standard is 45 seconds, but you can select a 10 second setting which improves the sound a little.
Ok, you don't get a DC adaptor with this or a remote control, and it can't play MP3 encoded discs, but if you don't require these facilities, then please give this a go. You will not be disappointed. The sound will definitely impress you as will the price.
