“worst service ever”

I ran into trouble paying bills and fell a few months behind. I got a job and called them and they asked me to schedule 3 automatic payments over the next three months to get caught up, which I did. The didn't specify that these were additional payments to go with the regular ones, and it made no difference to them when I did get caught up, they still kept my card in suspension, so the automatic payments were for their convenience only. I did everything they asked and then they left me hanging....

I have a motorcycle financed through this company. I moved out of state and needed to re-register my vehicle. I read the brochure the of my purchase and when the first bill came in the mail. They stated the grace period. I set up to have my bank pay them close to their due date and well within the grace period I read on the brochure. Each month, they billed me an added 25.00 late charge and .12 interest. A little background first... I have a 720 credit score and I have had this HSBC card for 2 years. I have never been late! “Horrible to work with”

I have been a great customer since 2007. I have never been late on a payment since 2007. I use the card and pay off the balance completely that month. “Avoid this company. The Worst.”

avoid this company like the plague. they ask for your business and don't tell you their is an annual fee. and when you have an issue, you must speak with a foreign customer service representative whose english is very difficult to understand. i could only decipher about 50% of what was said to me. “Just aweful!”

They applied payments late to my account, and were unwilling to adjust them despite multiple phone calls and dispute letters. The payments were made directly by ING to HSBC, just happened to be the last three payments in a 3 year period to avoid finance charges and the payments had been consistently applied on time for the 3 years. “Worst credit card company”

This company has been nothing but a nightmare. Opened up this card through a jewelry store and has been loyal. I did one return and called them to get my refund back as I already paid it off before I decided to return the item. I did my refund in august and I still haven't received my refund check. I have had this card for many years, never knew how bad it was since I never really use it for much. It was I guess a fall back card that luckily was never needed. If you need to fix your credit, don't get a credit card. Like any credit card company, if you're late with your payment you will have to pay late fees. HSBC has doubled my interest rate on the MasterCard account after one late payment in many years to a loan-shark rate of 28.99%.
