    Bad Points: Card not renewed. No explanation. left to phone many people.


    General comments: Ive had a SAGA credit card for over 5 years. It expired in January 09 and I was not sent a new card. On enquiring I was told (after almost 2hours of phone calls to various departments) that the card I used was to be replaced with a Platinum card for which I had to apply. I applied on the phone only to be sent a form to sign. A week later a request for bank statement, passport, utility bill etc. No acknowledgement that I have had a card for years!Im 77 and could do without the hassle!

    Saga put me in touch with Allied Irish who supply the Platinum service. I tried to fill in the application online and it would not let me complete the form. I am retired, live alone on Pension Credits and was self employed before I retired 4 years ago...Saga have turned unhelpful since I started the process to get back some of my interest. I cannot get the Platinum card as I was self employed.I will go to the bank now and see what they can do for me. I need the card in case I have to face any un ...
