Good Points: Road holding, economy, comfortable seats, quality fit and finish.
Bad Points: Tires (Noisy and bad in wet.
General comments: Overall, I am very happy with the Honda Civic HX 1.7 Vtec. The CVT transmission is a joy to drive, seamless power on the hills and instant passing power. On a trip I get 37 MPG, around town, 34 MPG. A tire upgrade to 195/65/14 Bridgestone Turanza solved the tire noise problem and they perform well in wet weather. The HX comes with light weight aluminum wheels, power mirrors, tilt steering wheel and cruise control. Not available are ABS (unnecessarry IMO)or power windows (in the coupe the driver can reach both windows). Options are AC, trunk liner, mud guards and remote keyless. I added a CD player, washable air filter, underhood sound deadener and rosewood dash.
