My family and i stayed at freshwater bay in august
we thought the park was absolutely wonderfull ,it was very clean ,very nicely laid out ,the pools were excellent ,we shall certainly go back next year
The only downfall was the caravan that i booked privately was not too my satisfaction ,it was not very clean ,so make sure you book through the holiday park ,dont book from adverts in the newspaper .

August 2009. Stayed at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park for 1 week with friends for the first time . The cleanliness of showers and toilets were second to none, the cleanest i have ever seen. The entertainer and all the staff at the stables very friendly and funny. Touring pitches are very spacious. I would recommend this site to families with younger children, not teens. The entertainment needs to be updated and more daytime activities to be introduced. Will return again but not with the teens.

Stayed in our tourer for 11 nights. Thought Freshwater Beach Holiday Park was a great site, biggest i've been on. Staff were great, toilet blocks biggest and best we've ever been on, clean all the time.
As we went in August there was something on all the time either on site or surrounding villages. We will be comimg back. Also the little pubs that you can get to through the donkey field are a must especially the Anchor Inn, food well worth the money, wish it was my local.

We stayed at Freshwater for 4 nights over Bank Holiday weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our pitch was at the top of a rather exposed hill and the wind gusted between the hills straight onto our pitch, which made erecting out tent very difficult. We were unable to move to a more protected area as they were fully booked. I would agree with the other reviewers as to the cleanliness of the toilet shower blocks but would add that they are some great distance away from our spot and up and ...

My family and I have just got back from a week at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, we had a brilliant time, good value for money, good entertainment, execellent toilet and shower facilities in the camping and caravaning part. The only pit fall was the stones in the childrens play area, the children were enclined to keep throwing them at each other. All in all brilliant time was had by all.

    Freshwater Beach Holiday Park

Fabulously clean shower and toilet facilities, no matter what time of the day I visited there were cleaners keeping all the facilities sparkling and fresh.
Facilities for children were excellent, the swimming pool was a massive hit with my son.
The Park itself is in an ideal position for exploring the Jurassic coast and a trip to the Abbotsbury Swannary cannot be recommended highly enough.
There are wonderful coastal walks all around the area and it a small path le ...

We stayed at Freshwater for the weekend in July.
The park is in a lovely setting and it is very clean.
The staff were helpful and the childrens entertainment was very
    good.
My only moan is that you cannot pre book your pitch if your stay
    is less than 3 nights.

Myself, teenage son and daughter plus friends love Freshwater Beach Holiday Park. We are all well travelled, fussy and really only camped over the last few years or so. We can't fault it. Most importantly facilities are cleaned on a regular basis throughout the day, which has not been the case in other sites we've stayed on. Something is going on all the time all weathers, it's the type of place I could stay at with an adult walking party due to the cliffs and also, one day, bring my grandchildr ...

My fanily arrived at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park on 26 July. We were made most welcome at the reception and had everything explained to us regrding where we should pitch our tent and leave our cars. There were also clear signs regarding this. The site was mainly very clean (including the immaculate toilet blocks). The only point on cleanliness being the large amount of sweet wrappers blowing around the site. Meals in the restaurant were good, if a little expensive. The service was efficient an ...

We as a family thought freashwater beach was aperfect holiday for a family . Our caravan was lovely and was better than expected . It was lovely inside and clean and was big perfect for our one year old to run around in. The evening entertainment was good and our son loved it. We didn't get to use the swimming pool as the weather was bad but it looked nice and kept clean. The beach was on our door step and great walks to go on.
Our only bad point was the take away chip shop it was rubbish which ...

Freshwater Beach Holiday Park is a hideous Campsite run by spotty teenagers. Really anal about how people park and pitch their tents. Rude and uncourteous. I would never ever recommend any one to go to this campsite. Constant hastle from the staff due to our late arrival which was not our fault. Nearly made us move and repitch our tent even though there were about 5 empty pitches around us,and half the campsite was empty. This camp site charges for the pitch and for the amount of tents on ...

We went to Freshwater Beach Holiday Park in August with three boys. The site is overall a great place for children and families and has much to offer. The beach is pebbles though not sand but the waves are a lot of fun and the river, right next to the sea is also a great place for the children to do water activities in a relatively safe environment.
The staff were friendly and provided lots of activities. Overall it is well situated and a stone throw away from Lyme Regis if you want a day trip t ...

The site was well organised but the road way and size of pitches made it difficult for some caravans to get onto their plot and indeed to leave the site. The road ways need to be wider and the plots could do with being larger, in fact there was a huge difference in pitch sizes depending on where you were. The site was rather too large for my liking but the thing that really spoilt it for me was the amount of dog dirt left lying around the site by some dog owners. Whilst most of the dog owners we ...

Other sites operate a strict noise at night policy, this site would be perfect if they did the same. There were strict rules regarding dogs which I have no doubt would be enforced, surely the same should apply to the noise nuisance especially as the site does seem to attract families with young children who would not appreciate listening to drunken youths shouting loudly. Security should patrol the tented areas to remind the rowdy campers to keep the noise down.
