I have just fitted Hankook Optimo K 406 to my BMW X3 and can't get over how quiet they are. I had Michelin on before but wasn't prepared to pay nearly three times the price to put them back on.
I have very happy with my choice so far

These Suzuki tyres have allready out lasted the OEM bridgestones and still have lots of tread. Good valve soft roader tyre.

35.000 km and I'm still rolling on these tyres. I have a 2006 Kia Rio .. they prove to be the more than I expected!

For its price it ' s a tyre worth buying if you ' re in need of good grip and your financial status isn't good. Cut a long story short if you ' ve got no money buy this tyre it won ' t last long but it ' s satisfactory.

These tyres were bought on the recommendation of the dealer, as they had received good reports and no complaints. They also contained Silica. The initial impression was a huge improvement in braking and handling over the original Michelin's at over twice the price. After 10k the Hankook Optimo K406's are wearing well, and I would expect to get better than 50k. Holden Astra 2001.

Hankook have set a bench mark for the others to meet.

I have these Hankook Optimo K406 tyres fitted to a 2000 Toyota Camry V6 wagon. They are quiet with very good handling and braking characteristics, particularly in the wet. Try and find another Silica based tyre under $100. These tyres were highly recommended in a recent Choice Magazine feature and now I know why.

The Hankook Optimo K406 tyres are cheap, and as long as you don't push the tyres, they will be good enough for most of us who drive well.

You get what you pay for, and there is a reason why they only cost me $52.00 each.

To me, the grip is fine, since I don't drive like a freak anymore. Treadwear is fine; 20,000 miles and still more than half of the tread is left. The tyres handle fine in dry and wet for me.

I drive a turbo RVR which basically has an Evo2 engine and 4WD system. Build on a rally car, these Hankook Optimo K406 Tyres should be the bees knees around corners. I currently take corners at about the same speed as I did with my old Front wheel drive lancer with 185 Dunlop Dayton tyres because the damned Hankook tyres keep slipping. Everything else feels rock solid, just the tyres. Steer clear, unless of course you're wanting to put them on a car you're about to sell just so you can say there ...
