    Good Points: Predictable wet braking
    Confident wet and dry cornering
Decent mileage (19,000 for front 34,000 rear on 1.6 Astra)
    Value for money
    Dependable German engineering

Bad Points: Not the quietest tyre

General comments: I did some research into a tyre that offered good wet/dry performance, decent tyre life and all for under £50 and found the Fulda Carat Attiro, after having been slightly disappointed with the Michelin E3a for overall road manners especially in damp/wet conditions and the continental premium contact for road noise and tyre life and I decided that I wasn't going to spend £70-75 for a road tyre.

Vredestein is competitively priced and I will still consider them in future and the same goes for Uniroyal, but the Fulda has impressed me. It has a somewhat conservative unidirectional tread pattern compared to some of its rivals but it inspires confidence and I know I've made a good choice, even though plenty of people don't know of the company.
