Fitted as replacements for Bridgestone Turanza ER30,ER30s were original tyres and had been replaced at the front once but were out of stock so lease company fitted 3 Michelin Pilot Primacy HPs,2 front and 1 rear, leaving one ER30 with just over 2mm left.
In comparison to the ER30s i find them a poor tyre. They are quite vague in a straight line, they lack grip in general and spin very easily when accelerating. They don't seem to clear as much water and were far worse than the worn ER30s in the snow.
General noise worse than ER30.
Not a great ride, seem to pick up a lot of minor imperfections in the road surface and larger bumps seem to send a secondary bump through the car,a bit like a worn shock absorber.
They feel like the tread is too hard and the sidewall too soft, turn in response slow and the tyre feels like it is rolling under when cornering.
Outside shoulder wear quite noticeable within a couple of thousand miles. (Front wheel drive diesel).
No noticeable improvement in mpg.
Good braking performance relative the tyres overall grip level.
Tends to look underinflated all the time despite correct pressure.
I would not have chosen these tyres if i was paying for them based on previous experience Michelin tyres and these have done nothing to change my mind in the future.

I have always used Michelins but this run has been a grave disappointment. All is fine including tread wear with the exception of the road noise. I know I'm driving my BMW but It sounds like I'm driving my truck. Very significant harmonic vibration. I have had the tires aligned but I really don't think this was actually ever the problem. The volume level is really disturbing especially on flat crisp pavement when the sound comes forth. This is a real bummer when laying in for a nice ride. I have tried to get the warranty division at Michelin to respond to my issue with the tire but no luck to date. I want compensation for the replacement of the tire, I can even deal with a proration. Michelin has taken the money I spent on a BMW and applied a great discount. I purchased the tire due to the fact that BMW supplied them on their new line of BMWs in 2004. What a mistake to take BMW's lead. Anyone eles with this level of disappoint in the tire?

Above review is for the Michelin Primacy HP and not the Pilot Primacy,a slight error on my behalf.

Griller
