Good Points: Very competitive price, paid out by cheque for claim very quickly,
Bad Points: No assistance getting suppliers to undertake the work - had to sort out my own local builders and I'm clueless when it comes to things like that! Would not pay out for any of the plumbing work, as they said it was mechanical wear and tear, but my plumber said he knows other companies who would have paid out for it, call centre staff are not always the clearest so was sometimes hard to get a clear answer.
General comments: Went for Egg home insurance because they were the most competitive when I was looking for a new insurance provider. Their price was very good for everything that is included. Have had to make a claim, as my cistern broke and poured water through the kitchen ceiling. They paid out very quickly and paid by cheque so could pay it straight into our joint account. However, they weren't very helpful with getting anyone out to do the job, just arranged for a local drying company to come and dry the wall. This was my first ever home insurance claim and it wasn't the worst experience ever, so I would say I'd recommend Egg (especially as the price is so competitive).

Egge Home Insurance: As per any other kind of insurance, it's only as good as the claims process, and I can only hope that it's better should I ever get burgled or any other kind of claim!- Read whybother's review (131 words)

I have a Credit Card with Egg so when it came time to renew my Home Insurance I thought I would give them a go - I was quite surprised by how cheap the quote was that I received and it was very easy to switch over to them. Since I started the policy I haven't had to contact them or make a claim but their customer service has always been good when I ring up about my Credit Card. It only takes a few minutes to get a quote so what have you got to loose - give them a go.- Read NewAmusements's review (100 words)
