Molyvos is a superb town with many interesting shops, castle and assorted amenities. It is easy to reach by hire car and provides the perfect base for discovering Lesvos. There are many wonderful restaurants close to the small harbour of which 'The Captains Table' remains consistently the best. It is a superb destination for a family with small children as there are many places of interest on the island not too far away. (read more)

I found this review somewhat helpful because...it did not go into detail about the so called NOT Apartments and Not Self-catering, so unable to understand if it was just the basic of the accommodation that is typical of the whole Greek Area and which we do not find a problem.
