Good Points: Inexpensive, widely available.
Bad Points: Quality control
General comments: I have been using Crosman powerlets for 20+ years without a problem or complaint - until last summer (2007).
Last summer I began to notice quality control problems with the SIZE of the Crosman powerlets. They seem to have become bigger around the middle, about 2/3 down from the stem.
We have six Walther PPK BB guns at summer camp (a very fun gun, BTW). This year we had many boxes of Crosman powerlets that were too wide to fit smoothly into the PPK's grip. Getting them IN was not hard, but extracting them required removing the right-hand plastic grip and pounding them through. They would not just drop out, as in previous years.
I am at a loss to explain why this year's batch were such a problem. The powerlets worked just fine in our other CO2 guns, but the Walther PPKs are our mainstay and in them the powerlets were a pain. I hope that whomever runs QC at the Crosman factory gets this problem resolved.
I cannot recommend Crosman powerlets to anyone shooting the Walther PPK CO2 pistol. In other guns they should work fine.

Most CO2 cartridges on the market are the same, I don't like like Brass eagles because the ones I bought had rough edges on the sealing surface and there is very little choice for me if I want to pick up my shooting supplies locally. Crosmans are pretty much the only CO2 cartridges I can get where I am but I like them , they're also the cheapest round here. The cartridge itself is well made, the gas inside isn't really important as all 12 gram cartridges contain 12 grams. However the Crosmans co ...

This is the invention that started it all!
What is there to say about a CO2 cartridge? They don't work when it is colder than 50 degrees F. or so.
CO2 power is about temperature. Most people are unaware of this so they make dull comments about a non-issue.

Crosman crosman 12g co2 powerlets normally costs $1.5 in NZ. It is very cheap indeed. However, my Brass Eagle is better than it is, as it could deliver about 80 shots for my Bretta 92 FS. Only 45 shots can be produced by my Umares Bretta 92 FS.

Crosman co2 powerlets are cheaper if you buy more. The more you buy, the more you save.
Here are some of the AVERAGE prices:
5 pack of powerlets - $4.00
25 pack of powerlets - $15.00
40 pack of powerlets - $23.00
100 pack of powerlets - $50.00
500 pack of powerlets - $250.00
Note: i normally buy the 40 pack. i get around 3000 shots.
