I have a 10 month old pit bull which I treated with the Hartz drops. I followed the directions giving her the appropriate dose for her size, the following day her whole back where the Hartz was applied was broken out in small welts, almost looking like mosquito bites. I washed and rinsed her immediately, it's been about a week and she still has some bumps on her back, but they seem to be clearing up slowly. I wish I knew then what I know now, obviously I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enem ...

I wish I had read others' review before I bought this. I was thinking of REVOLUTION but it requires a prescription. So I went to Walmart and found Hartz Advanced Care Brand Flea & Tick Drops Plus+. I doubted if it would work, but decided to give it a try. Applied it on my dog following the instructions, and the very next the fur near my dog's tail started to fall off, and now my dog is pink (skin) at the beginning of his tail. I just hope it is not permanent.

Also, the third day after applic ...

The Hartz Advanced Care Brand Flea & Tick Drops Plus+ was sold at the pet store. It was much cheaper than the products from the vet, but why waste the money. It does not kill or prevent any fleas. We did not have ticks.

I used Hartz Advanced Care Brand Flea & Tick Drops Plus+ for about 8 months on my dog. It took me a while to correlate her strange tremors and behaviours with the application of this medicine. She is 30 lbs, right on the weight line between strength applications. After finding the medicine to wear off in effectiveness rather quickly, I tried the stronger product. Both times that I used the stronger dosage, my dog had an erratic and panicky reaction, including whimpering, scratching, digging, ...

My 14 year old shi tzu had been itching for a couple of weeks, and I could not find one flea or tick on her. We went to the vet and she gave me a antihistamine and a antibiotic, but neither helped. I had to make a tail sock and back leg sock for hot spots that she had created from all the itching. I purchased and used Hartz Advanced Care Brand Flea & Tick Drops Plus+ before reading the bad press on it. She is back to her old self, with no itching, no chewing, and sleeping comfortably. I don ...

I used the Hartz 4 in 1 flea and tick plus medicine on my puppy. She is now scarred for life. She's lost all of her hair on her neck and back and her skin is covered in what looks like a chemical burn. She is always in pain, chewing, biting, and scratching at her skin. Her belly is still covered in blisters. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT put this poison on your dog or cat. I've spent hundreds of dollars at the vet. I've spent countless nights crying. HARTZ MUST PAY!

Both my dogs have been to the vet numerous times within the last 3 months since I have switched to Hartz flea and tick control. If they were human beings, at least we could contact the FDA.

Do not buy this product!!!!!!!! There are no good points about Hartz Flea and Tick Treatments!!! My cat is fighting for her life today in the hospital due to poisoning from this product. Hartz knows this product is killing and injuring cats and has done nothing to stop it!!

Even if you follow the directions precisely as indicated on the package of Hartz Advanced Care Brand Flea & Tick Drops Plus+, the results can be devastating. Have followed up and discovered that this product has a history, and has caused a great many health problems and is often fatal. It should not be on the market.

I bought from Wal Mart Hartz Advanced Care Once A month Tick Drops for my 2 cats (one 4 years old which is 9 pounds so I used the 10 pounds or less formula) and the other cat is 14 years, 18 pounds (so I used the 10 pounds or over formula). Both had negative reactions. The 4 year old has pulled on the fur on spot and near the spot where applied as directed. She has used her hind leg claws and drawn blood from the irritated spot. It has been irritable and standoffish, unlike her usual sweet self. ...

I applied Hartz Advanced to my cat, and within hours he was scratching. The next morning his body was shaking, and the tremors were especially bad in his legs and head. I didn't know when I bought it about the class-action lawsuit against Hartz because of the 1,000 or so cats that have died or had extreme, permanent damage due to this product, including seizures. My cat will be okay, but if you love your pet DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

After applying the first vial of Hartz Advanced Care, my cat scratched constantly. There was somewhat of a reduction in fleas on her body, but even after the second treatment, they were still there. The product says it's guaranteed to kill all the fleas, but obviously this is a false claim.

I put Hartz Flea & Tick Drops on both of my cats. They became very lethargic and shaky. Very scary. Can't say I'd use the product again.

When I applied Harts Brand Flea and Tick Drops+ on my dog, according to directions, my dog began scratching incessantly, and this has gone on for 3 days. This behavior is uncommon for this Border Collie, and upon examining him, I found the skin to be reddened in the groin area, as well as the gums. I bathed him, and replaced the product marketed by Harts with Frontline. I have never found any pest control products from the Harts people to work. In fact, allergic reactions are common with their p ...
