    Good Points: Friendly Staff

Bad Points: Not really a student account

General comments: At the start i thought that the northern freedom account was quite good, it offered an overdraft of up to 3000 pounds, internet banking and everything else you would want with your account. This was until my 2nd year when i wanted to increase my overdraft from 1000 pound to 1200 - when i requested this they said that they could not give me that amount because my next instalment of my student loan did not cover it. I then went on to explained that I would be starting placement and that i would have a salary coming in throughout my 3rd year, they still denied me the extra amount! For a student like me, I don't see the point of having an overdraft when I have a wage coming in and not having one when i do not - thus me saying that it isn't really a student account.
