Good Points: Answered the phone quickly
Bad Points: Very poor premiums - found a similar premium 1/2 price
General comments: I have recently received very poor customer service from them. They are inconsistent with their charges, and when I objected to this, the member of staff was very unhelpful. I then spoke to the customer relations department who defended their staff member and dismissed my complaint.
I will not be renewing my car insurance with Egg. I have since searched for a new policy, and I found one for half of the price I am paying with Egg.

I changed my car and Egg car insurance required me to fit a tracker. Fair enough.
I ordered a tracker and told them it could not be fitted for two days after I had taken delivery of the car.
Egg refused to cover for loss due to theft for those two days, even though I had a receipt for purchase and fitting of the tracker.
I changed my insurance company for the same price with another company that did not require a tracker, and they duly fitted my tracker as well.

Been with Egg Car Insurance on and off for the last 4 years, my renewal notice this time round cannot be beaten and having dealt with the majority of the rest of the insurers I see no reason why not to continue. Staff seem friendly and helpful and the phone is always answered quickly enough. Lets hope a claim would be dealt with in the same manner.

I always do a lot of research and shop around for the best deal and Egg, for the second year running has proved to be excellent in terms of value for money.
