We found privilege via a comparison website, and, as you do, we went for it since it offered the cheapest cover and offered some extras. We filled everything in correctly, my partner as the keeper of the car(he uses it 80% of the time) and myself as an owner(my name is on the log book). All sorted, phoned up, paid upfront and few days later received documents to confirm. All well until then. “To be with privilege is not a privilege”

I have been with this insurance for nearly year and sadly someone drove into me as he fell asleep at the wheel of his car. My lovely car which I had only had for 18 months was a mess as was I when it happened. Luckily I had 3 witnesses that saw everything and immediately came forward and helped me. Privilege however kept me hanging on the phone whilst i was crying the extra cost on my mobile was £8.00 as I could'n't use the 0800 number and had to an dial 0845 number. Do not go to this company!!!! its prices online are not even the correct prices as when you call to make payment it goes up! you have to wait an hour to speak to the rude staff! when I had a problem with this company they fobbed me off with supervisors and managers that cant do there dead end jobs! “Poor customer service during claim”

I am 18 I had a bit of a crash with a car on a single track country lane which under the circumstances was not either of our faults. Unfortunately I was in an old car which suffered a fair bit of damage to the brackets holding the panels in place which meant my car was a technical write off. The claim department seem to have a list of things to say to fob you off so the company can keep taking your monthly payments until they decide they want to bother to sort the claim out. They tried to do just about everything they could to make out I stole my own vehicle even though it was recovered via its tracker after 26 minutes. Offered me a Fiat 500 or Auris as a replacement for a Panamera. “Rip off”

We took out insurance for my wifes car because my son is a named driver we were told that they needed to change premium . As payment was coming from sons bank account. We cancelled insurance snd took out with a more reputable provider. The cars belongs to my wife . We should be allowed to decide who drives car not get forced into putting in sons name when car does not belong to him. “They never follow up”

This is my first year with Privilege and it's been a nightmare with them. I've had to make two claims to them this year, and their process is extremely slow. When you ask them to give you a call back if and when there is progress with your claim, you better not hold your breath. For both of my claims, they never called back. “WORSE CAR INSURANCE”

This is by far the WORSE car insurance ever!!! Word of advice spend your money elsewhere. I was involved in an accident back in May 2014,they don't care about anything apart from making sure that your payments are up to date. You have to constantly contact them in order for them to do their jobs, because you are left in the loop not knowing what is going on or what they are doing. I Had 2 vehicles insured through this company. My wife bought a new car so we rang Privilege to change the car details. After 3 phone calls, all unanswered within 45 minutes, I decided to cancel my wife's insurance due to the expensive quote. Looked on price comparison website and Privilege quote was £150 cheaper than discussed on telephone. Was then told I owed £28 following cancellation but received bill for £75.40. After changing vehicles during my insurance policy with Privelege i called to advise of the change and if there would be an increase in premium. Was previously paying £26 a month for a Golf 1.6 diesel and the new price for a Scirocco 2.0 diesel was to increase to £64. “Do not use!”

This company caused me untold distress. At every level there was a complete lack of customer service skills and following a claim there was absolutely no assistance in trying to resolve my situation. My car was in a garage for a month because of delays due to Privilege not supplying information to the garage . “£50 cancellation for auto renewal”

I bought an online policy with this company last year. The renewal notice was by post which I didn't receive, and there was no notification to the email address via which I set the policy up. The first I knew was their direct debit at a vastly increased premium from the previous year which put my account overdrawn. I have just reversed into someone in a car park my fault but did MINOR (3 inch scuff) damage to passenger door with my picasso however the car had previous damage on a wing mirror (which i couldn't damage in a hatchback) and wing not done by me. Advised privilege of this and told them not to pay out on this however they have just paid out for this which i will have to eventually pay back. the same problem l had, then they sent to me payment against your claim is £1900, there was no damage even l am still having the evidence of both car (pictures), you don't believe it, there is no control from the government towards these companies
