I didn’t really appreciate the 50 mins to insure another vehicle onto an existing policy, especially given the time spent the day before on the phone. I hear you say “why didn’t you do it online”! Tried that but as soon as I put my registration number in of my previous vehicle the app would not let me get a quote. Surely there are other tyres who insure more than one vehicle with this company? Then they tried to charge an administration fee, that didn’t happen. To top it off they asked me to prove my no claims on the other vehicle - I’ve done the policy through them so they have the proof!!! Honestly the whole process was like hitting your head against the wall! Really not that impressed at all.

If you select the insurance via a comparison site they increase the price on their platform when you pass through to their web site, even if you do not change your declaration or select any optional add ons. Naughty, this gives them a fake higher position on the comparison sites price rankings. It added on over £100 for no reason. What’s the point of appearing in a comparison web site with fake pricing- !! Anti competitive.

Got a price of £211 for a car I was buying - great deal. However, I had to change the car for one identical in model and year. I telephoned and explained this, gave the new reg number. However, the price I was then quoted was £700! I queried this but naturally declined the policy. I was told I would not be charged for cancelling because of the disparity in premiums. I had paid the £211 premium, which got refunded, but looking at my bank statement I see they also took £25 on that same day! For what??? Wonder how/if I'll ever get this back.

Buying the insurance is straightforward but accessing the documents is proving impossible. I have a pre existing policy,when I log in, to register, using the link provided I am taken to the existing policy - not a word about the new policy to which I am trying to register. Very frustrating.

Poor snd didn’t renew policy. Too long to answer phone. Got quite via compare the market, couldn’t buy online, had to ring. Whilst tuning I did chat, both took over one hour, then decided to change one thing and was told she couldn’t do it and I would have change my quite, did that and waited to speak/chat again then got cut off as your offices closed. You lost my business. So frustrating.

Disappointed-they took the payment at 1am so my bank blocked it as they thought it was dodgy. In the morning I released the payment but Budget charged me for a miss payment !! I argued but they don’t care as long as they get their money-they won’t get another penny once this insurance has ended.

My renewal quote increased from £156 to £275 never having made a claim. An increase of almost 90% is a ridiculous amount. I will not be renewing my cover with them in the future.

Based on two claims which occurred more than two years ago, one of which was not our fault, Budget attempted to increase the premium by more than 30%. We immediately cancelled the policy and within 5 minutes found an alternative quote with an online comparison site for nearly 50% less than Budget’s original quotation; using the same information and carefully ensuring that insurers were aware of the claims history. We have 13 years no claims discount, no speeding or other motoring offences, live in a low crime area on Dartmoor and have been driving for 40 years - the only reason for such an unscrupulous attempt to increase our premium to this extent could only have been to get more money out of us. Avoid!

The process to apply was smooth and no problem, the after service wasn't great. There was an invlaid CUE notification, which the operator said that I supplied the wrong information and if I want to continue, it would significantly increase my premium by over £150, without recourse. I had to canel my policy. I confirmed with previous insurer that I supplied correct info, but on calling Budget, they didn't know how to proceed. I don't know where they got their CUE info from, but it is either out of date or incorre ct!

Budget insured my property fine while I had a tenant. I was a customer for years. Then when the tenant left I rang them to let them know that I would be selling the house and they immediately stopped my cover - even though I was entitled to a period (45 days from recollection) when it could be empty. I had to drop everything and arrange alternative cover which was not straightforward. Previously when the same situation had arisen they allowed me my “unoccupied” period of grace. Not impressed.

Had an email with a new quote. Found a cheaper quote elsewhere. The email stated that I had to confirm policy to renew. I didn't do this but they renewed anyway. I called the next morning to confirm the policy was not required and I was then informed there was a cancellation fee for a policy I didn't accept.

Not happy with the size of increase in premium, as an existing customer I would expect to receive a moderate increase in premium, but not the huge increase I was given. I renewed because I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of getting another quote elsewhere!

Especially a hired car was given for limited days - 10 days The repairer wanted four weeks to repair. I had to ring budget every five days to extend the hire of the car. This was very inconvenient. I

Had to put in my first ever claim as someone hit my car. I reported my incident then didn’t hear anything for nearly a week. Finally had a call and had to use their approved garage which was a 45 minute drive, when I picked up the “courtesy car” was made to pay an extra £70 for more insurance. Then took another 10 days to hear anymore. The courtesy car has also cost me way more in fuel than I would normally spend. Definitely left me out of pocket for an accident that wasn’t my fault. I would expect as I’m paying fully comprehensive insurance, have no claims and as it was being cover by a third party that maybe I shouldn’t have to drive so far and be out of pocket and wait so long. Little communication, taken more money and to be honest just a bit of a let down.

You need to sort your online quotations. I was advised by one of your representatives on the phone to seek a auptstion online as when I spoke to him to add on legal cover the quote rose from £400 to over £700 on a £21.95 add on.
