Have just found out that Aviva don't want car repairs carried out by authorised dealers. They will charge you an extra £200 if you wish to have your car repaired by a repairer that is authorised by your car manufacturer. They have no interest in warranties and in the words of customer services about their repairs......there are no guarantees !!!...

both myself and daughter have had two not at fault incidents in my car which was agreed by Aviva. An apparently uninsured driver went into the back of me. I managed to get the car registration and make and model of car and the drivers name and address. So why almost two years down the line are we still waiting for our premium to go back to the previous amount. Their policy states that if you have been hit by a non insured driver you will not lose your no-claims discount. Our monthly premiums have...

I have taken out a car insurance policy with Aviva. Please do not bother taking out any policy with this company unless you have loads of time on your hands and loads of patience. I got a quote online, then registered and payed for my policy online. Once they had my money, I wanted to view my policy online. When registering to view my policy, their website keeps on returning an error page with a telephone number to call. This is an o870 customer service number, so not a free call number. Calling...

Just want to make everyone aware of my AVIVA experience.. Been a member from the beginning, never claimed. My van had a fire on the ECU and in 2 places on the cable loom. AVIVA told me they had spoken to the garage and decided it was a write off and would contact me with a price... I phoned every day and was told "tomorrow they will have a price". A blue cycle salvage and auction lorry turned up to take my van away. I said he couldn't take it until a price was agreed. He left empty handed. After...

Aviva are absolutely awful. My car got stolen last year. They were terrible at getting hold of and were continually sending me to many different departments etc..... In the end my car got recovered a week later i informed Aviva and no more got said about it. I personally paid the £260 pound collection fee and repairs for the car Aviva organised nothing. Yet i just recieved my yearly renewal for it to be whacked up to £2700 as they have taken my 3 years no claims. This is rediculous and in contacting...

Alternatives are cheaper and with more benefits. AVIVA PLAYS DIRTY TRICKS to get people to pay for the second year extension even though they were contacted in good time and told that their extension is not required because the premium has gone up too much. I've had an accident going back in Dec 2011. Clearly my fault due to adverse weather conditions, no other cars involved. Due to slippery surface my van got stuck between a tree and a steep hill, damaging the front and back. The only way to take the van out was to drag it out with another 4x4 and in doing this damaging the van side panel. I then put a claim in with aviva, book the van at the body shop goes in ten days later for job. i get a phone call from the body shop that the work has been stopped...

My car was recently stolen and then recovered, and I am insured with AVIVA. This has got to be the worst company to deal with. Its cost me £60 in phone calls, premium rate 800 number on a mobile phone. I was put on hold for most of the calls I made. Don't listen to all the negative things you hear about companies online. Let's be honest, no one ever comes online to praise but just to moan! I've been with Aviva for 2 years and worked in Insurance for about 4-5 years. I've looked through the policy booklet from cover to cover (sad I know) and I'm very happy with the cover they are offering. I've had to make a few amendments to my policy and whenever I've called Aviva it's been on an 0800 number that was answered fairly quickly! Their call centres...

Currently dealing with a claim for an accident that occurred over three weeks ago - car declared a write off within 2 days but AVIVA denied all this and I'm still waiting for my settlement, even after having been denied a courtesy car. Also, never speak to the same person twice - completely impossible - and some of the customer service people are just down right rude. I also stayed on hold for 30mins one day (and still noone picked up!) having dialled an 0845 number which is, quite frankly, disgraceful....

The cover as a whole was what you would expect from any well known company. My biggest annoyance with this provider is that I unfortunately had to change my policy twice within the year and I was charged a much larger policy premium because of this. I can only concur with all the other reviewers, that this company has got to have the worst customer service in the world. You as a customer are nothing more than bank account.
