    DISGUSTING. Streamline.net consider that they have a license to print money. The quality of hosting was adequate, although I had a number of minor support niggles (like for example it taking a week for my server to be set up, and forwarding not working) but the real killer was a) the automatic renewal and b) the no refund policy. I called 11 days after an automatic renewal of 2 accounts had been done on a credit card that I had forgotten about to be told that there were no refunds and that If i cancelled my £160 was lost (2 years, 2 sites hosting). I was also not offered a refund on a downgrade. Furthermore I asked to have my credit card removed from my account. This was refused. Don't use them. They will rinse you. Below average service and way above average levels of extortion.

    Enough has been said already about everything else, but they get one star from me simply due to their webmail downtime. I have no idea what can possibly go wrong SO often. At least twice a week their webmail will be down, if not once a day.

    This is a shocking company, tech support are useless. I was experiencing these slow pages people speak of, 500 errors and lots of errors in my log files:

    FastCGI: comm with (dynamic) server "/var/www/fcgi/php-cgi" aborted: (first read) idle timeout (30 sec)

    Googling for these log error message I found this review page! I even sent them a link to this page and others to try and help them resolve the issue.

    After several months using a dedicated server and 4 shared hosting plans with them, they send me a mail that my payment failed. I then updated my card information, and 21 hours later they shut down my server. 30minutes later they charged my card and sent me a mail that my server would be up in 24 hours.

    3 days later I managed to get a response out of them "we're working on it, we will contact you later"

    3 days later, they have stopped responding to my support mails and their support phone numb ...

    I have 3 domains with this company and they have just locked me out of them for two months. I didn't realise that they automatically charged me for a domain I did not want to renew and have denied me access to all three until I pay up. I keep contacting their support and I just get a standard response that doesn't change when I question them. Criminal business practices.

    This cowboy outfit seems to just ignore the consumer protection regulations (distance selling) 2009 as they think it is fine to just help themselves to your money without providing an invoice prior to charging!

    Avoid - there are plenty of good hosts out there but streamline isn't one of them!

    Extremely poor customer services when it comes to cancelling the account. If you request to speak to a manager as you are not satisfied with the level of service you are receiving they place you on hold and then cut you off.

    Huge price increases over the 3 years I was with them and was not notified of the increase in price until I checked my bank balance and saw how much had been taken.

    Would definitely NOT recommend.

    Be careful of Streamline.net and read the small print. They seem operate an obscure contract of automatic renewal every two years which ties you up for an additional two years with no refund and they have been awkward and uncooperative in a dispute. They can only be contacted using a 0845 number during my dispute as they instantly shut down the internet access to my account controls when I blocked the automated renewal payment. They are not even very good value for money as I am now with another ...

    Streamline are a terrible web host, they will cause you endless headaches with overloaded servers and constant timeouts, their support staff are a bunch of monkeys...avoid them!

    Avoid at all costs.

    This company sums up all that is bad about the internet.

    I have paid for a junk filter that has never been activated despite numerous requests.

    As they insist on keeping your credit card details on file, then they automatically renew your subscription without any notice or warning and when you challenge them about this they still refuse to co-operate.

    IN MY OPINION THIS COMPANY IS OUT TO MAKE A QUICK QUID AND THEY TIE YOU UP IN THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

    I have been with streamline for about 4 years and they have had there ups and downs, not too long I wasn't too happy with them and was going to change hosts (would have been lot's of hassle) But recently I think they have been making real efforts and the service seems to be better.

    They have the latest software installed on their servers and the my sql databases are now actually quite fast.

    Shocking hosting company. Servers completely overloaded which means any search engine crawlers on my website get a lot of 500 errors and so does my membership. My website is small now but I have to move as the servers don't even cope now. Whatever you do don't get locked into a 2 year contract with these guys, unless you intend only to host a one page website about how fluffy your cat is.

    I signed up for a free 3 month trial with Streamline. At the end of that time they helped themselves to £115 out of my bank account without informing me, apparently the charge for 2 years of premium web hosting paid for in advance. When I complained they tried to invoke some small print terms and conditions.

    if you do a bit of research on the web you will find that this is their common practice and Streamline is notorious.

    I will get my money back one way or another, but best not to get ...

    I am also with streamline.net as a business and have many problems at peak times with php files being constantly over loaded. I am now moving my website to another server. They told me to move my database to one of there other databases, but would have to do this myself as there is no tool to do this quickly, just because there database gets overloaded, I think they should streamline their clients on that database. I have also had problems with overcharging my card and had to get refunded back.

    I have been with Streamline for 7 years where I have several small websites. I have had some misunderstandings with billing in the past but this was resolved curteously and efficiently. They have improved their billing system a lot over the years. Also their support has improved a lot. They have 24/7 telephone support. I used it only once and it was very helpful and curteous. I have occasional problems with PHP, but they react to my support tickets very quickly - even over the weekend and solve ...

    AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! Their customer service is truly awful, they take forever to reply to support tickets and when they do reply it's a standard response from a script. If you ring their expensive 0844 customer service number you wait on hold for ages and when you finally get through their telephone manner is curt and offhand.     Like another reviewer my credit card details had expired and I could only access my site if I paid first. Rediculous. As I thought the fees were high I placed my business elsewhere. Two months later my new credit card has been charged with the outstanding invoice. How did they do that? If you telephone the geographic number you are told you can only ring the 0844 number.     There was a time when i recommended Streamline.net to clients but not after they refused to unlock my domain name for transfer. I've never dealt with such an incompetent bunch of idiots in my life. I mean customer service was just Nil. My site was constantly down and i never once got compensated.
