Customer service is bad, they say its unlimited but they other unchageable parameters which restrict you! e.g. the sql service is not very good

Once again my site has been down.
Almost 4 hours today but from 16/1/10 to 8/2/10 it has been out for 11 hours.
I have never been given a reason for this in fact.
Also I have not yet had a reply to the customer support message I sent over 2 hours ago.

DO NOT USE STREAMLINE.NET.
THAY WILL TAKE MORE MONEY THAN YOU AGREE AND GIVE YOU NOTHING. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE.
I signed up to Streamline. net because their website looked great. They created an account for me straight away, but they had forgotten to add the site builder to it (free app). When i tried to add it on, it said "cannot authorise your card" (they take £1.00, then refund it...apparently!). I contacted my bank to find out the problem. This host is RUBBISH. I have purchased Size Wizard spent hours building a site launched it and it does not work with Internet Explorer! works with all other browsers. Streamline say its not their fault. What a load of TOSH IE is the most widely used browser and their Size Wizard is not compatible? AVOID and save yourself time trouble and heartache!

I have had no problems on the service side (until today!) but this company, Streamline.net leaves a lot to be desired when dealing with the fiscal side of things. I took out a 2 year hosting package, reasonably priced at under £30. As my card had expired, they were unable to debit my account and contacted me with regard to renewal. As with many of the other reviews here I've been appalled at the customer service from Streamline. I admittedly didn't do a lot of research before choosing a host and had I done so, I certainly wouldn't have gone with them. I was lured in by their cheap prices, big mistake. I paid up front for a year's hosting and they attempted to take payment without even so much as an email to let me know they were doing so. These guys are an ABSOLUTE BUNCH OF CROOKS, they will try and screw every penny out of you then hide behind their 'terms and conditions' when you question why they are emptying your bank account. NEVER, EVER deal with them, you'll regret it for the rest of your life.- Read Guest's review (49 words)

Terrible customer service when you complain and I am currently being charged for 4 domain names 3 of which I do not use. Read their terms and conditions before you sign up they will renew your hosting and re register without consent. I have a couple of live sites and have used several companies for my websites. Streamline has been the worst web host company I have used. They don't send an invoice when a bill is due, they just take without reminding. Their phone line either didn't get answered or I got cut off numerous times. They did not reply to a single email about cancellation of my account. Their policies vary on different pages so you don't know your rights. I've used Streamline for several years. Overall they've been fine. Technical support is adequate and fairly quick to respond.
There a few niggles that really shouldn't exist. They don't support Cname redirects at all and a few other installations such as wordpress have required more fiddling than is necessary as there's no cpanel or fantastico. I've had to delete the htaccess file to get a forum to work.

I have been with steamline for a while but I have a feeling that as soon as your site becomes big enough for them to feel your not in there best interest then problems start, right now my site has been down for a number of days and they have stopped replying to the support ticket system they use. I now realize how unprofessional they are and feel if I decide to go with another host then it cost me and be very difficult.- Read Guest's review (84 words)

Streamline.net are not to be trusted - the customer services manager is militant and has no interest in retaining customers. I have complained to trading standards on their automatic renewal and invoicing policies. They give you no promtps when invoices are due and will freeze your account including other domains you may have hosted with them on the day the invoice is due. My issues with streamline stretch as far as my arm, and longer. The reason being, i am a web developer with 8 years background in this field, and have never come across a more incompetant bunch of guys. Firstly, they NEVER EVER EVER answer the question you put to them, you could ask these guys what colour are my socks? and you would receive the response "Our uptime is guaranteed".... they just ignore it. Very Poor Customer Service - We bought a website domain name and hosting account. Problems from the off! They created TWO websites in our name, and refused to give us access to the one we were paying for, until we paid for THEIR error! We ended up paying over £40 in phone bills to their APPALLING customer service. We ended up talking to the same person in the end, as when we first phoned them up! Streamline.net is staggeringly bad. It is flabbergasting that a company can be so incompetent. Their customer service is Kafkaesque. Dealing with them has been one of the most dis-empowering and frustrating experiences of my life. Because they were unable to provide access to my domain's control panel, they decided to re-set it. It didn't help, but they had cut off my website and primary e-mail and then shirked responsibility for fixing it. I just registered with this company and encountered problems from the off! I'm now trying to cancel my website with them and that seems to be near impossible without going through their ridiculous support system.
The whole interface of the site isn't user friendly and quite confusing. When I was told my domain wasn't possible (I wasn't told until i had registered, via email!) rather than have an easy on-site way of changing it, you have to go through the slow customer support process. I originally took on a Streamline account to host a very basic information site. I selected it on the basis of it was high up in the seaches and seemed to offer better value than my previous provider. How wrong could I be! I would absolutely advise anyone to avoid this company like the proverbial plague. In terms of use uploading pages was not particularly easy and seemed to take an age. AVOID. They take money even if you cancel your account then refuse to refund. I closed my account over a year ago and they're still taking money from my account and refuse to give it back. Had to get my credit card company to intervene.- Read Guest's review (45 words)
