Appalling service. I was sent final notice to pay biannual fees. Forgot to change my new email over and no one contacted me by letter until the final demand. I had to pay before I could update details and then pay another 2 yr even though I wanted to cancel. They said I was four days into new contract. I have just called because I could not access my account and found they had not put new email address on to their system. “Streamline.net stole my 10 year old domain”

The countless negative reviews on the Internet alone should deter any potential new customers from contemplating this company. The company is in debt and resorts to legal questionable means in which to intimidate their customers into covering their losses. I had been a customer for over 10 years, from the days of CEO, to current company director Frank Einhellinger. I would like to add that I was finally able to get things resolved, but it was only by going through the company's CEO. Without their assistance I would still be banging my head against a brick wall.

“Poor, poor, poor”

I've had personal and business domain names and hosting packages with Streamline. At first they were brilliant and good value. After they were sold, their service went downhill rapidly. Their own website is slow and customer services from the 19th century, only available 9-6 Mon - Fri. Call centres are outside of the UK making conversation difficult and closing a hosting account takes so much effort it is unreal. These guys may as well be from the Mafia. It's not too far off extortion. If you forget to pay, they send red letters, promising you they will sell your debt to a collection agency and damnage your credit rating. These guys should not be allowed to trade... “Don't use Streamline”

I used Streamline for 2 sites, one personal and later one for a club. For the first couple of renewals they sent an invoice before the due date. OK. Then they omitted to do so and I forgot the date (didn't need to remember, did I, since they sent invoice reminders?) for the club site they eventually sent one imposing a fine for late payment. One of the worse experience in my life! Twice took a payment over the phone using card machine for amount of £3000, week later received a bill to pay £60 to pay for fees as apparently customer used business debit card .... Ok that's fine. “ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL - Stay well clear of!”

Where do I even start with Streamline.net? They are by far - without question or doubt - the single worst company I have EVER dealt with in a professional or personal capacity. Their hosting is appalling. We've got an independent site monitoring the uptime of our site(s) with them and the best of the bunch is running at 58%. * Worth pointing out that when I said 'they then moved us' they actually said " here's another mysql database you should use' and we ourselves, as the customer, because of their poor infrastructure, had to move our ENTIRE site and all associated mysql databases manually.

Wish I had seen these reviews sooner, I didn`t renew my website as my business collapsed a couple of years ago. A letter turned up at my former home telling me I owed them £90 !!!!! Is it me but when not renewing something that tells me that I no longer need to use the service of the provider. No stars. Zero. Anti-stars, even. To give you one example of how bad these sharks are is difficult. I mean, how do I choose? I could give you 20 though... no problem. They have no manners, service and no morality. Their only function is to take money from you and they don't really care how they do it. “charging me more for an inferior product.”

I have been stuck in this auto-renewal loop for two long now. previously they didn't even send emails. I wrote to them on the day they tried to take a credit card payment to say I want a different package as I now need more than one website. it turns out they have put my prices up on a website which is inferior to a cheaper one advertised. Why is it that EVERY time I request something, I have to re-request it two or three times afterwards as they don't do it properly first time. For example, COMPLETELY removing hosting from an account so I can organise hosting from another supplier. Shoddy service. They simply don't know what they are doing. Ditto my friend I had the same trouble as you terrible company

You can pay by paypal and money is not taken you get an email when your site comes up for renewal and then you choose to pay I have just upgraded my Family website to Pro Unlimited Web Space unlimited bandwidth

I host a website for a charity and they would not refund my hosting fee when my account lapsed. Despite not receiving any emails from the company warning me that the account was due to expire they proceeded to take my money. When I appealed to their goodwill I was met with a total lack of empathy. They would not refund my money even though I don't use their services and received no notification from them. I've been a customer with Streamline.net for about 7years. Customer loyalty means nothing to them and once you've payed they want nothing more to do with you. Their website and ticket system is very frustrating and unhelpful if you have a problem, but I've always managed to sort things out without needing to contact them. Streamline make it virtually impossible to cancel a hosting service. We followed their instructions to raise a support ticket on their web site clearly stating that we wished to cancel all domains except one giving them plenty of notice. They responded after a week to state that they can only do this if we give them EXACTLY 7 days notice before the expiry date. I posted a letter recorded delivery and got a reply the next day....

My letter included...

I have tried to log in to my account to cancel it and all future renewals, but am told that I must pay your unsolicited invoices before I can do this.
Having taken legal advice I consider that this contract is subject to the terms of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999.
As you will be aware Schedule 2 paragraph 1 of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 makes reference to contracts irrevocably binding the consumer to terms with which he had no real opportunity of becoming acquainted before the conclusion of the contract.
Additionally the contra proferentem rule indicates that a contractual term which has not been individually negotiated shall be regarded as unfair if contrary to the requirement of good faith it causes significant imbalance in the parties’ rights and obligations arising under the contract to the detriment of the consumer.
By burying charges massively higher than I was made aware of I consider and am advised that these terms are in conscionable and unenforceable. Good faith requires that these terms be made known to me in the clearest terms at the time.
Please confirm accordingly that you have closed my account and are dropping the matter with immediate effect. If I do not receive this confirmation within the next 7 days, I will have no option but to make a formal complaint both to the Office of Fair Trading and the trading standards section of the local Council.
Dear Mr X,

Thank you for your letter.

I have checked the account and we have never received a request to close down the hosting with us which is why the fee has become due, this is as per the Terms & Conditions you agreed to and does not subject to the Unfair Contract Terms Act.

However, I have checked the ticket history and I can see we were contacted by a gentleman regarding your account in February 2013 regarding the hosting of your website. Whilst he did not ask to close I can see from the details that the intention was to transfer the hosting to another provider at that time.

I do feel the support team should have picked this up and that they should have provided the information of what was needed to cancel the hosting if that was what was required.

Due to this if you can confirm you are happy for me to delete all files/emails on our servers for xxx . I will close the account and waive the payment that has become due.

I have also sent this by post, in case you do not check the account for a reply.
