I won't bore you with the details of how bad the "park" was, just read the other negative reviews. The only thing I don't understand is why anyone would actually stay in this place. Plenty of people have complained about it, but all seem to have put up with it.
We were only supposed to be there for three nights but wouldn't have survived three hours. The first "chalet" we were given absolutely stank and was falling to bits. The second one we were given didn't stink as much but was in an even worse condition. We weren't prepared to try "chalet" number 3, so while I was on the phone to John Fowler's head office getting a full refund, my wife was on the phone to Haven booking us into something a million times better. We were there for less than an hour, but it was long enough.
Anyone who likes this dump needs to get out more. Honestly, you don't need to be a detective to find a much better place than this. Don't go.

Tolroy Manor is a fantastic place to stay, within easy reach of St.Ives, Penzance etc...the park is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities on site are good. The club house is good for those who like shows, loud music etc and the bar near reception is good for those who like it a bit quieter, there are pool tables, snooker table and arcade games for the kids. Sky sports was on everynight too. The pool is great and is warm. The crazy golf is good as is the tennis c ...- Read Guest's review (133 words)

We have just had a week at Tolroy Manor and we loved it. The chalet was lovely with flat screen tv's and a newly fitted kitchen. They are a little damp and you can smell the musty smell that you get everywhere. We paid 500 for the holiday and i would definitely go back. The site itself hasn't a lot of things on it but there's so much to do in Cornwall u dont need it. The pool was lovely and we were in it everyday they have a sauna there too.
The night time entertainment was really good i have a ...- Read Guest's review (157 words)

we paid over £800 for a week at john fowlers tolroy manor. it was damp and smelly we were given a dehumidifier which we had to empy every day. there was mould on all the windows. we woke up to find clothes and a quilt soaking wet as if a bucket of water had been poured on them.we complained and they told it was condensation! you will find the odd good review on here as they were lucky to get one of the privately owen houses. when we got home we contacted cornwalls environmental health abou ...- Read vikki47's review (102 words)

A real shame that we have to rely on sites like review centre to get a point across.
We had what should have been a nice holiday ruined by one of the entertainments staff at Tolroy Manor.
On the wednesday of our stay we went into the onsite clubhouse to watch the nights entertainment. At the time our twins were four years old and quite exciteable and were getting really involved with the cabaret the way that only young children can do. Twice one of them tried to get on the stage and and join i ...- Read sandhilltrading's review (491 words)

We could not believe the appauling condition of the accomodation. It was completely sub-standard with damp, dirty crockery, bathroom stank of urine and unclean, soft furnishings poor quality and falling apart. The list could go on! How a place like this manages to stay open is beyond me. I am writing a complaint letter to Hoseasons whom we booked thorugh, and will hope to receive some sort of compensation, but if they "carefully select" places like this then I doubt they will respond in a sa ...- Read Guest's review (96 words)

I've read all the comments on Tolroy Manor Holiday Park and agree with some and disagree with some.
Good Bits:
The staff are friendly and helpful (not like some have wrote).
The clubhouse is fine (decor etc) and the entertainment staff are OK (Some better than others). My 6 year old loved it. (and they don't try and flog to you all the time like some other holiday camps)
The pool is OK.
Other Bits:
Food onsite is almost non-existent. (The club snack bar is ok but doesn't do much)and there are ...- Read Guest's review (196 words)

We booked with John Fowler after reading the brochure and ringing to confirm that the chalets were wheelchair friendly. After 7 hour drive ,arrived to be greeted by barman who hadn't got a clue about the accommodation. Found chalet,Couldn't get wheelchair to or in the door. The place stank of damp, dirt and animals.Furniture and carpets well worn and filthy.Telly on the blink.Clubhouse in sorry state of repair.Drinks expensive, food appalling. Very little to do for kids.Wouldn't ever return or rec ...- Read Neil Francis's review (103 words)

Cleanliness was very poor at tolroy manor holiday park
Staff on site unhelpful or not available.
Brochure and web site nothing like the real site
The whole site looked neglected and in need of a re-paint and update.
Cottages far too small and not clean also outside patio was filthy.
Fire escapes were not adequate.
Not a nice place to arrive or a welcome from staff if any.
Far too much smaller than advertised
Kitchens no bigger than a stamp and extremley small fridge freezers for 6 people.

John Fowler, Tolroy Manor Holiday Park has a fair range of activities for kids. Accomodation is adequate as long as you remember this is a holiday park and you are not at home. Apartments in Strawberry Hill suffer from dreaded seagulls (They are everywhere). All in all we had a good time, used the pool which can be pretty cold at times, entertainment a bit iffy but gets you out for an hour. Kids loved it. Staff are helpful. Not far from Hayle beach which is beautiful, plenty shops in Hayle and o ...- Read Guest's review (124 words)

When we arrived at Tolroy Manor Holiday Park we were greeted by a lady who was more than willing to help, when we got to our house for the week , it was like something out of a swiss mountain setting, with a wooden balcony on the front and a nice homely feel to it.

I think some of you must have visited a different park to me and I find it hard to believe that people go on holiday to cornwall (the most beautiful place in england) and moan that they had to leave site and spend money finding things to do because the site wasn't as exciting as Alton Towers... Baffles me....Firstly, the Tolroy Manor Holiday Park site was very clean & tidy. It was very peaceful, The staff were extremely friendly. The entertainment staff were excellent, ok yeh, I've been to butli ...- Read colindj69's review (395 words and 1 comment)

We had a fantastic time at Tolroy Manor !
The staff were friendly and helpful, the site was beautiful and quiet. Our 13 year old daughter and 6 year old son are already talking about going back next year !
The accomodation is basic but superb value for money, and the location is so close to so many wonderful beaches and attractions that we ran out of time during our week !
Can't wait for next year.......
Thank you Tolroy Manor.- Read verybellysu2's review (76 words)

The house was nice and a good size, but there was absolutely nothing to do on site, drinks were dear, entertainment was lacking!! and the shop was only open for 20 minutes a day! Had to leave the site every morning and spend loads of money trying to find something to do. If you are older and like relaxing then this is ideal but i would definitely not recommend for families. The Tolroy Manor Holiday Park site is nothing like it looks in brochure, in all honesty it is an absolute shame as wit ...- Read Guest's review (145 words)

We had a lovely holiday however our daughter was very ill and the staff were great and arranged for freddy the fox to visit her at the house. The entertainment could have been better, we will be visiting Tolroy again at some point as we love Cornwall and the surrounding areas.- Read Guest's review (122 words)

After spending the last 7 years holidaying between St Ives and Tolroy Manor from East Yorkshire, this year at Tolroy Manor was the best, I don't think we could fault it, we where involved in an accident on the way down, when an object came off a lorry and smashed the windscreen, we where showered in glass and our Grandson was cut, when we did arrive at Tolroy, we where still in shock for a couple of days and we thought that was the holiday spoilt, but after a couple of days the ent's staff and e ...- Read Rich Pete's review (221 words)

Well kept grounds with nice facilities for young children, i.e small play swimming pool and outdoor playground. Good location for stunning beaches.
Some rules that discourage antisocial behaviour ought to be in place which are enforced by an active site warden. Our bad experience was not even at the height of the season which could in my opinion suggest that it is worse during the summer so surely some kind of security could be installed to deal with trouble.
The score of three is given on the u ...- Read Guest's review (119 words)
