Set in a beautiful location with great views. The site seems a little dated but there is improvement and upgrading work presently going on. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A great base for a relaxing holiday.

Stayed at Combe Martin 9.7.11 to 16.7.11 in a Gold Caravan. Big saving as booked it through The Sun. Caravan ok if a little tatty- rusty bathroom radiator, trim coming off the table, dining chairs that didn't match the decor and a bit of torn upholstery. However, can't complain as it was a bargain.Liked the site, swimming pool ok, bar/reception ok, food not bad, staff very friendly and welcoming. Only went in the shop once as it didn't open much.Didn't mind though as village really close, the Spa shop in the village excellent and opens early, the local pubs- The Foc'sle, Dolphin and Royal Marine were excellent, good beer, nice food, not forgetting the Pack O' Cards, also excellent but a bit further to walk. Didn't manage to visit The Castle or the other pub right at the top of the village. The weather was fabulous, loved sitting outside The Foc'sle in the evening looking out to sea. Liked the walk to the village and back, a bit hilly going back though. Good shops in Combe Martin, a takeaway at night selling burgers, pizzas etc, very friendly locals. Had a walk to the Sandaway site, nice site but a bit further away from the village. Fantastic holiday and will definitely go back

Ok, so the accomodation is basic - we had a chalet, had everything we need but in a 'tesco value range' approach. Thats ok because the acommodation was dry, warm (we went in october) and freindly. We took our dogs with us and went up into the woods and generally had a great time, freindly helpfull staff in a quiet little park - lovely.

Arrived late but phoned ahead. Told we could book in up to 10pm which was very handy as can be a long journey in bad traffic. Checked in at 9.00 and able to get a meal at the Bar to take back to Caravan. A bit pricey but not unexpectedly so. Caravans lovely very well appointed with a fire, room heaters, lovely duvets on the beds - very very clean and all kitchen items there. Bar pleasant and cheery but a bit noisy for us (with a baby). Once baby older we will definitely return. It is great for kids. Heated outdoor pools at Coombe Bay and larger John Fowler Park further up the road - about 10 minutes. Lovely beaches and hidden coves to explore and a playground on site. Coombe Martin itself a lovely old fashioned resort with rock pools, ice cream and paddling to keep everyone happy. We had a Caravan (Bronze) which had a TV and Video. Took a lot of our own food and had a wonderful holiday which was really good value as we had a tight budget.

A week in June at John Fowler Combe Martin Beach Holiday Park.
A very clean small park, about 110 units in all. Not a lot to do for children, since there is no Arcade, unless you count 2 machines! And only a very small outside play area, with no room for ball games. For adults the bar only opens from 6.00pm.
However we did make the most of the small beach right opposite the site and being small the children quickly made friends. One thing to note is their is a John Fowler holiday park near by where things are open a little longer and most caravans have some superb views.

Having spent the first week of September 2004 in Combe Martin on our long-awaited annual holiday, we were pleased to find ourselves in very spacious, clean accommodation [in a 6-8 berth cottage]. Often two families holiday together can "fall over each other" but not in this case - we were provided with a roomy, relaxing environment which relieved our stresses perfectly! The club house provided great children's entertainment early evening, with equally good adult entertainment to follow. A great time was had by all, and for the princely sum of £303!!! We have already booked for the same accommodation next year!!
