Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the most imaginative, action-packed, fun, sorrowful, aggrivatingly enjoyable book in the series. 766 pages of Harry Potter? Dream come true!

All of the usual characters are in the book and we are introduced to a few new ones, the events that take place are engrossing and a relationship moves forward only to fall at the first hurdle. An engrossing read and one I recommend.- Read Akkarin01's review (116 words)

Rowling is a master of control, as she proves again in Order of the Phoenix. Characters' motives and off-screen actions are withheld and then revealed with perfect timing. The final chapter masterfully ties together plot threads that Rowling has teased us with, as early as book one. Even after 5 books, Rowling still has not run out of imagination about the world of wizards and witches. In this book she continues to delight us with just-for-fun tidbits, like chess pieces that tremble in fear o ...- Read jschattman's review (541 words)

This book is an integral part of the series as revelations help bring the reader to deeper insights on the storyline but it's more of a book of "information" rather than a book of "story". It's less fast-paced than the other series.- Read lilchina's review (83 words)

J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: The fifth installment of the 7 book saga of Harry Potter brings him to deeper, more mature territory. J.K. Rowling yet again takes the story into a new height here as we see out hero face not only the dangers of the newly revived Voldemort but also the doubts and disbelief of the wizarding community. Much is revealed in this one and one will see the connection of the previous books through the truths unveiled here. This book has so much en ...- Read magicalmuggle's review (201 words)

If you like all of the other Harry Potter's, you'll probably like this. But unfortunately Miss Rowling has taken on an extremely complicated storyline and the book has lost a little bit of its magic. When the story line gets too complicated, some of the readers (particularly younger ones) lose interest. Which is a realy shame because those books have done a lot for english literature.- Read crimson1990's review (122 words and 1 comment)

J.K Rowling Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - A continuation of the series.
Potter acts like a brat, leading to a little sadness as "something bad" happens later on. Rowling said she was in tears as she wrote that part, but I was sadly getting bored by that stage. The thing is that overall it's a good book, but let down by the fact that Rowling is putting too much into her books as time goes on. With a decent bit of editing, I'd rate this book much higher, but it's just too long. L ...- Read identity123's review (183 words and 1 comment)

There is only one word to sum up J.K Rowling's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and that is BRILLIANT! The plot is one massive rollercoater ride, with a twist and turn of the plot at every other page. There is so much to be interpreted into this book and it seems like every other line could have the possibility of being a clue in future books. Harry matures so much that you wouldn't believe he was the same boy who didn't know he was a wizard. Everything is revealed as to why Harry has t ...- Read specs2004's review (122 words)

I enjoyed Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix very much and have been waiting for for a while. the characters aptitudes did seem to change and seemed different from the other books in the harry potter collection.
there was a supprising end that I did not expect but the discription of the classes was not very clear. there were GREAT new characters and a story that made you want to keep reading and I would advise it to anyone.- Read Jack armstrong's review (125 words)
