    Working on a contract I have stayed in the Bella Vita for some months. All the rooms have incredibly comfortable beds and most have air conditioning and top quality TV's. The bathrooms are modern and large, but the room furniture is in keeping with the nature of the old part of town the hotel is in.

    The restaurant downstairs is top quality and terrific value. I will miss this place when the contract ends!

    I went to the La Bella Vita for the first and last time on Saturday and had a terrible experience. We had booked a table for 8.45 and when we arrived we were not greeted and had to hang about in the doorway for a good five minutes. A waitress eventually told us to go through to the bar at the back where the bar man took our drinks order and brought us the menu. We asked if we could have some olives or bread with our wine and was told "no, I don't have anything". We then waited and waited and ...

    Bella Vita, HItchin, has an extensive menu with fantastic fish dishes - top class cuisine. Friendly staff and unusual large character rooms made our stay superb. We will return. What a great place.

    Very comfortable rooms in the center of Hitchin. My room was split over two floors and had a lovely bathroom that was very welcome after a hard day. Stayed at Bell Vista on a Business Trip.

    have stayed at Bella Vita several times and never been disappointed, great restaurant and rooms are finished to high quality

    What a superb find! We stayed only one night but will definitely make a point of coming back - the accommodation was lovely and the food fantastic. Owner has got it just right combining his great international wine and food expertise making it a great place to go for dinner - don't wait until you stay there!

    Great place to eat , not cheap but not expensive if you want quality . Reminds me of being abroad with the convenience of just being in Hitchin . You could forget where you are .

    The Bella Vista Italian restaurant in Hitchin, Hertforshire is the best restaurant I have ever been to! The food is of a very high standard, and very reasonably priced. Every one I have taken there keeps going back.
