Being one of the most competitive supermarket petrol station groups, Tesco petrol prices are often seen as competitive. But are they the cheapest petrol prices in your area? Send us a review and tell us!

Good Points: At the moment I have nothing good to say about any petrol station owned by tesco!
Bad Points: Out of all the supermarket giants I find that Tesco have the highest prices and with the buying power that these supermarkets have then it is about time they passed on their savings to their customers!
General comments: Can anyone tell me why Tesco's near me seem to charge so much for their petrol, I travel quite a lot through Wales and have found many very small petrol stations some of who have as little as 12 customers a day can charge 1-2 pence a litre less than the this tesco supermarket giant who's buying power must be massive so why are they charging top notch for their petrol, if a small rural petrol; station can do it then Tescos should be more than able to.
Even though Tesco's is on my door step I no longer fill up at their petrol station and go elsewhere for my petrol.

The Tesco petrol station at St Oswalds in Gloucester is terrible - I am self employed and so I need to pay at the pump and I always need a receipt for my accounts - but guess what - there's almost never a new paper roll in the pump when I use it - I never get a receipt and I don't have time to queue in the kiosk.

Great Petrol Station. Manned 6am-12am, longer than any other in Great Yarmouth and has a good range of snacks in the kiosk. Sells Super Unleaded which has improved performance of my car

Overall, Tesco saves you money and you can collect loyalty points. Prices are cheap, depending on what part of the country you are in, I commuted daily from Norwich to Peterborough for three months at the beginning of the year and noticed massive price differences in the two cities.

I would never use a Tesco garage again. I have a Toyota Yaris filled up £15 used my card got chareged £92.81. My car doesn't even take that much to fill up when I asked for refund got told to go to main Tesco who could even put it back on to my card I then had to take it to my bank myself

Tesco is excellent, offering consistantly low prices, which do not fluctuate as often as other garages.
Best by far

I think Tesco is doing a good thing by rolling out its 99RON Super Unleaded and at the price. I would like to find out how it stacks up with keeping engines running smoother and cleaner, compared with the only other proper Super Unleaded - Optimax. Perhaps Mr Clarkson will be willing to help on this one??

I travel all over the country on a weekly basis and I have noticed the fuel at Wolverhampton Tescos is always cheeper than Catterick Tescos this should be one standard price.

Beware of the Tesco Ongar Petrol Station in Essex
No prices are visible from the road due to the fact that it charges 3p more a litre for unleaded than other Tesco garages.
The forecourt is frequently gridlocked, due to not having a dedicated petrol till. You have to queue with other shoppers.
When you do eventually get on to the pump you find out that the unleaded fuel is 3p a litre MORE expensive than other Tesco stations.

I disagree with the two negative reviews of Tesco Petrol. The main complaint in both cases is that the fuel might be cheap but it has damaged the reviewer's cars.
It is no secret that Tesco's fuel stations are supplied by Esso. So you need not worry about getting "inferior" fuel when paying a penny or so less for a liter of fuel.
I might also add that Sainsbury's fuel stations are supplied by Shell, so the same points apply to Sainsbury fuel as well.

Reading the other reviews, I don't agree that petrol from Tesco is any different to other petrol stations. I've run my car on it for many years, and apart from it saving me money and getting those extra Clubcard vouchers, I haven't had any performance issues at all.

I am sorry to hear that people find tesco fuel a problem? i have been using their fuel in my Vauxhall 2.2 feul inj Sintra for over four years and have never experienced any of the problems that are being described. Are the people sure that it was Tesco's fuel and not a problem with their own vechicles? Tesco are working hard to help provide the service that families like mine need, good avordable fuel and the points that we earn from staying a loyal customer help pay 'almost pay' for our anual h ...

I have just read with alarm the review of tesco petrol stations. My car was fine today until I refilled with Tesco petrol then it conked out after 1/2 a mile. It's now in the garage being repaired. I don't know yet if it was this petrol but two independent mechanics said it looked like a fuel problem. DO not use these cheap fuels. I usually use BP or Shell and have no problems.

Well what can I say - Tesco petrol is cheap. Cheaper than any where but does it work out that cheap really.
Well I dont believe its value for money. It doesnt perform as well as other makes. I get less acceleration from Tesco Unleaded Fuel. It also doesnt get you as far as other brands like BP.
Normally I use BP for a full tank it cost me £38 driving average I got 350 miles.
Oh and Tesco is not meant to be good for engines, so it could mean your car wont last as long... yikes!
