I went to fill up at Tesco Monday night 1st Feb. Normally it is the cheapest in my area when taking the loyalty card into consideration. However since they extended and modernised the store it has become the most expensive in my area. Jet garage was 2p per litre cheaper and even the local garage in Carlton, usually the most expensive was 2p per litre cheaper for diesel. I am sure it is just a case that motorists are paying for their new store.Double club card points in my opinion is a con as well.I am going to take the advice from some of the reviews and fill up at Shell which was also cheaper than Tesco.

PRICE! TESCO RIP OFF!
I never had a problem with the petrol from TESCO, but during the scare I started using my local SHELL just a little further up the road hidden in the trees.
My money now goes further, Petrol lasts longer and its cheaper! A Quality British Fuel! and Cheaper! This forecourt is always ripping customers off, they are always the first to up prices and always the most expensive!
Got to pay for those clubcard points they give out somehow haven't they.
Mind you one point per ...- Read B Gransden's review (140 words)

Rude (disinterested) staff, carrying on their own conversation without acknowledging the customer except to ask what pump and say the price. Asked them about when the voucher scheme was going to start again. Just shrugged and carried on chatting. Also price of coal and firewood is more expensive than even the most expensive corner shop! As usual, Tesco is just interested in profits and customer satisfaction comes too far down the list to be worth mentioning.- Read Guest's review (76 words)

tesco are absolutely ripping people off at their pumps. i am always charged at least 20-30p before the fuel even starts to come out and then i have compared how much fuel i get for £10 at shell and how much at tesco for the same price and i received much less fuel at tesco for the same money. they are not giving what they should.no wonder trading standards fined them in april for giving 4% less fuel than they should be. they r still doing it.- Read Guest's review (87 words)

I dont appreciate paying roughly 4p more a litre for petrol, than at any other petrol station. The queues are endless, about 4 pumps dont work at all, the service when paying by cash is absolutely deplorable... I have never been served by such slow cash assistants in my life. To top that off I sure as blazers dont appreciate paying for petrol by cash, and hearing the cash assistants life story whilst she talks to her colleagues, or shouts at them from across the room. Id sooner drive the extra m ...- Read Guest's review (104 words)

When they redesigned the local Tesco branch, at Bradley Stoke in North Bristol, they seemed to neglect the idea of having it done by someone with a modicum of brainpower.
The store itself is an object lesson in wasting space when it is already limited in the first place, and the "expansion" of petrol station - already one of the busiest in the area - is a complete joke.
Now, the ridiculous queues, terribly slow service (due to only having two til points, not the overworked staff) and coupled w ...- Read Guest's review (138 words)

Tesco petrol at Rawtenstall is 5 pence much more expensive than Tesco petrol in Burnley 6 miles away!
Tesco "customer service" refuse to provide any reason for this.
Today a friend tells me his vehicle will travel 40-50 miles further when he has to use petrol at AN Other petrol station.
Another friend tells me to check the price on the Tesco till receipt as this can differ from the large sign outside the garage. I have personal experience that Tesco cheat in store and can provide details.

Pt 2 - the forecourt for some diesel at 10:40hrs. I used the transmitter. I waited 10 mins and used it again. At 11:05hrs I tearfully summoned a motorist to go in and ask one of the 3 people behind the counter to come and serve me. I left at 11:09hrs and the crem. doors were just closing when I arrived.
I ran short of diesel and had to go there again a fortnight ago. Same thing happened! Bearing in mind that the remote bleeper sounds inside and a staff member has to cancel it - and a flashing l ...- Read Guest's review (262 words)

The first time I used this petrol station I sounded my horn and held up my blue badge in an effort to attract attention. I saw the staff glance my way - but no acknowlegement was made. I waited for some time - then another customer offered to go in and ask for help. The lady who served me gave me a leaflet for Service Call. I sent off my cheque and bought the transmitter.
The morning of my friends funeral I pulled onto- Read Guest's review (84 words)

I have just used the newly opened filling station at East Ardsley, Wakefield, where I spent £76.00 on fuel. When I came to pay I presented a 'Tesco' fuel discount voucher, I was told this would not be honour as this was an Esso station. In addition to this I was denied reward points on this purchase, again, because it was an Esso station.
To display the Tesco logo outside this station is a gross misrepresentation and I will notfall foul of this 'Con' again.- Read Guest's review (84 words)

I have used the Tesco filling station for many years now. At the moment I am thinking of buying a new car. My idea was to purchase a car that uses LPG. This is for several reasons, one being the environmental factor and of course economical. Unfortunately there are only filling stations at a great distance. The nearest two being in Wallisdown or at Hurn airport. I live in Southbourne, near Tuckton. It is not reasonable to travel these distances for a fill up and therefor it is not either economi ...- Read Guest's review (102 words)

My local Tesco, Uddingston charging Diesel at 105.9p per litre.
Morrisons 101.9p per litre only just over a mile away.
Esso garage Bellshill 101.9p per litre again 1 mile away.
Thought Tesco took pride in lower than the rest fuel prices.- Read Guest's review (40 words)

I filled my motorcycle up as normal at a Tesco Petrol Station and went in to the shop to pay. I was ordered to remove my motorcycle helmet and told Tesco policy is for motorcyclists to remove helmets and I was told it's the law, 12 years I've been riding and never have I had to remove my helmet.- Read Guest's review (58 words)

I was given contaminated fuel by Tesco Petrol Station, when spoken to customer service they explained that it was all being dealt with and they would get back to me. I have still not heard anything from Tesco and i am forced to drive my car to speak to them as they have not given me any details.- Read Guest's review (58 words)
