Good Points: Wow! I felt a little embarrassed by how close I felt to Ronda LaRue in this intimate journey of awakening. Conversationally open, deeply penetrating and intimate; intellectually engaging and provoking (inductive quality really); fantastic sensual use of poetry. This book is charged for inner transformation. ...A very clear, compassionate, and yet down to earth practical voice in the realm of awakening concsiousness and the realization of our inherent wholeness. Refreshing expression of Christian mysticism seemlessly integrated with eastern thought and contemporary transpersonal psychology.

Bad Points: I wanted more guidance or maybe structure... Instead Ronda LaRue gives back the integrity of hearing my own inner knowing.

General comments: Re-membering Who You Really Are: The Journey Of Awakening To Soul
    Ronda Ackles Larue, M.S.
    forward by Richard Moss M.D.

The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.... A stereotyped but unconscious despair is concealed even under what are called the games and amusements of mankind.
    - Thoreau

Everyone has felt this quiet desperation of which Thoreau wrote. It may appear in times of peacefulness or turmoil. It may have a presence as ephemeral as shadows gliding down a hallway or bestow the leaden emptiness often described as the dark night of the soul, but it always carries a stark sensation of loss, of being lost and exiled from the loves of the soul.
To move beyond this desperation and awaken life's meaning is a most challenging quest but in her beautifully composed book, Re-membering Who You Really Are: The Journey Of Awakening To Soul, author Ronda Larue confronts this challenge head-on with a vibrant narration of her own mystic journey and, in the process, illuminates the simple but profound path that returns us to the essential truths of our being. A path always present, but all to often obscured by the white noise of day to day living and years of social conditioning.
The story begins with Ms. LaRue, a successful business woman, social psychologist and artist, enjoying contemporary life complete with the luxury and bluster so familiar to all. Yet, sensing something missing, she continues to seek and pray intently for the deeper meaning of her life to be revealed.

In due time, the answer to her prayers are wondrously unveiled - but the journey is, to say the least, not what Ms. LaRue anticipated and her spiritual awakening is proceeded by a mystic, circuitous route, as well as a strange and dark life crisis -an undoing- which too plays an essential role in her soul's stirring.

Re-membering Who You Really Are: The Journey Of Awakening To Soul is truly an astonishing work in terms of both insight and reading enjoyment. Ms. Larue's awareness of her thoughts, emotions and surroundings (both seen and unseen) throughout this enthralling sojourn are astute, learned, thought-provoking and vulnerably sincere. But perhaps most remarkable is that her prose carries the warm engaging voice of someone familiar with and appreciative of the reader, someone with humor and charm - who still manages to unswervingly shine a bright light precisely on this profound miracle of awakening and fulfillment.
