Please don't make the mistake I did and buy one of these guns, believe me you'd be best putting the money you pay for this air rifle towards something of better quality.
The gun is accurate, it works well to begin with but then the seals fail and you have to read the half chinese/english manual to disassemble the gun to change the seals (which you have to buy seperately) then replace them and put it all back together again. For anyone to have to take apart their own air rifle because the manufac ...

Loved this rifle. Lots of fun to shoot. Not for hunters or target shooters but great for having a bit of fun with. Was very dissapointed when the seals went but that was my fault for over pumping.

Some UK magazines herald SMK weapons as 'best value'. Remarkable, advertising revenues are clearly more important to them than the truth.

Really, save yourself the bother, SMK guns are worthy of the utmost contempt, and you'll save yourself a lot of heartache if you buy something which is at least as accurate as you would expect a piece of steel tubing with air forcing a bit of lead through it to be.

OK for the first few weeks but after about 1000 shots it blew the seals and bent the pin at the back.
This really was a bad buy
I binned mine in the end

The SMK Custom B45-3 does what it says on the box. The added extra. we all over look, is that there is no extra cost of C02 bulbs or expensive stirrup pumps, plus SMK still sell replacement stocks from Spain.

The B45-3 Lacks build quality as we all know but was unique to the market when first introduced many years ago. I have found it very hard to track down one of these as new on the market, so must prove its demand.

After selling my B2 air rifle so I could afford this B45 I soon found out that I have made a very very bad mistake indeed!! On my first shoot it was OK but when I took it out onto the field the thing just went! even though I dint even pump it to its max it still went! So sent it of, SMK fixed it, went out again.....DITO!! except this time I dint send it of and now it's in its free gun bag with a Crossmans Class 3A laser mounted onto a Simons 3x20 scope!! I am looking for a new gun as now I work ...

I got my SMK Custom B45-3 air rifle about 1 year ago as a present. It worked fine for about 10 months until loads of problems started popping like: the trigger sticking, seal going and so on. Since then it's been stuck in my gun cabinet with my other decent rifles that have worked for years. The rifle is good for the money as long as you have the money to keep it working.

This SMK Custom B45-3 was the first rifle i had bought for around fifteen years and amazinely it broke down after around 10 to 15 shots. No i didn't over pump it as i read all instructions thoroughly before using. I only used 4 pumps max at anyone time. Yes, you guessed it - the seals had gone. I could hear the air leaking out of the gun. The rotary mag was simple but very badly built. It was almost impossible to turn the mag if it had more than 7 pellets loaded (not the 12 available). The bolt ...

I BOUGHT TWO B45-3 CUSTOM RIFLES A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND SINCE TRANSFORMED THEM INTO SUPERB HUNTING/PLINKERS FOR VERY LITTLE COST OR EFFORT. AFTER THE FIRST COUPLE OF THOUSAND SHOTS OR SO I NOTICED THAT THE RIFLE WAS NOT UP TO THE ABUSE THAT I WAS GOING TO GIVE IT, SO I TOOK IT APART! AFTER A BIT OF DE-BURRING, POLISHING AND MEASURING OF THE INTERNALS I PUT IT BACK TOGETHER FITTING FIBER WASHERS TO THE CHAMBER, INSTEAD OF THE STANDARD OVER PRICED 'O' RING KIT FROM SMK AND FITTED A NYLON SEAL T ...

This SMK Custom B45-3 air gun is very poorly put together it breaks seal after seal and leaks gas. Broke a month after I had it, and I was pumping under maximum not on maximum. SMK fixed it for me twice for free but charged me £20 the third and £20 the fourth, so I sold it at a loss. The gun has a fault and over mail order it costs a lot to fix, and SMK won't supply you with the parts very readily. BEWARE OF THIS GUN it may be cheap but it cost you more than its worth, cheaper in the ...

I have owned many many air rifles ranging from £50-£500 as i like to try everything because it would be naive to say that only the pricey guns are good as thats not the case at all. With the SMK Custom b45-3 air rifle you get a powerful lightweight accurate hunting tool. It's only available in .177 and it retails at £69.95 from budget guns and tackle (distributor of smk). It takes 6 full pumps to achieve full power which from this gun is 11 ft bls - after about 1 yr regular sho ...

This was the first rifle i bought from SMK and i was very pleased with my purchace.
It takes a little time to get used to the pumping and the way the repeater works.
This has to be one of the most accurate rifles i have used even with iron sights.
It has more than enough power to take down birds and vermin.
It is also one of the lightest rifles on the market you can carry it round all day.
For the price £69.99 very good value for money.

I have found the B45 to be a fun hunting rifle that is very light as well as short. It's a very cheap gun which is let down by it's build quality (mine fell apart after 6 months, but smk collected and repaired) I bagged a few rabbits last year with ironsights alone, but the force needed to pump it to hunting power is so incredible that after a days hunting you won't need a rifle, you will be able to throw handfuls of pea shingle as far.
