I was very disappointed with cheaptickets customer service. I called multiple times to try and arrange a change to my itinerary. Each time I was given different, contradictory information by the agents. Do not ever book though this company. They do not honor what they say and it has been very frustrating. I will not let it ruin my vacation but on my next travels it will not be done through them. I needed to change reservations and to cancel a Hotel reservation . The recording asks for my phone number but does not recognize phone numbers out of the US so it put in me on hold and It took them 58 minutes (yes 58) to answer . I booked a hotel, flight and car through cheap tickets last year. I got very sick the morning I was leaving and called the airline to try and change times. The airline told me to call cheap tickets back since I booked through them. I did and they assured me I would be reimbursed for the flight plus a $150 change fee. The absolute worst company associated with travel I have ever dealt with. They took my money and when a problem arose with my ticket due to a glitch with their computer system their only answer was "There's nothing we can do." The only reason I was even able to get on the correct flight that wasn't canceled is because the lady at the American Airlines desk helped me purchase a new ticket. I will never do business with this company EVER again! I'm waiting for my refund of about $5000 when my tickets were only $3000. They charged my credit card twice the first time and when I called customer service NO ONE WAS HELPFUL!! They kept putting me on hold and hanging up on me. I got a tickets from them, just to save few $ on international flight - big mistake. If you have a chance to buy directly from airline, that the way to go. If something has to be changed, there will be no middle man (agency). I had a family emergency and had to cancel the flight. Airline accepted the reason. I asked for specific dates and the printed itinerary showed the correct dates, except for a sneaky need to overnight getting me to my destination a day later than what the itinerary displayed. We booked our trip to Thailand on cheap tickets. The itinerary was leave Boston at 7 pm on american To JFK- leave JFK at 10:05 on etihad. A month ago I bought a plane ticket for a friend because the price was low and the availability was limited for the flight. I did a booking via cheaptickets.hk, I then search online on the site review for "cheaptickets" and got freaked out, since every review i read was terrible. We booked two rounders from Bangkok to Portland, Maine on Emirates. The fare was the lowest fare we could find that made the most sense in terms of airline/route/price. The purpose of this letter is to formally and publicly commend (name removed), a supervisor in the Customer Service Department, for the excellent service he provided us last June 22, 2012. I am very grateful for his willingness and eagerness to help us in solving our problem.
It was my second time to book with CheapTickets and never in my wildest dreams have I ever imagined that my boss's ticket will be cancelled without notification and I would learn about it (when I was trying to reserve a seat with Finnair) a day before his scheduled flight. I am based in the Philippines, and I have called CheapTickets since 2:00 in the afternoon, trying to fix things so that my boss can attend to a very important conference. I've talked to several customer representatives but nobody has given me a solution. (Names removed) promised to call me back, but they didn't and they refused to take my call. I had to explain my circumstance to another agent. (Name removed) was the only agent who cared enough to transfer our call to the supervisors. I had talked to a supervisor, but she wasn't as accommodating as (name removed). (Name removed) asked us to just purchase a new ticket and offered us a refund. That was very frustrating since we have decided to buy the ticket last March to avail a cheaper price and it is impossible to get a low priced ticket when the departure date is already that day. It took us 11 hours to get a clear resolution. It was only (name removed) who took charge and acknowledged that it is indeed CheapTickets' responsibility to replace our cancelled ticket with no additional cost. At around 1:00 am, (name removed) has given us an itinerary and at 5:00 in the morning, my boss' flight was booked.
I have never made a commendation letter in my entire life, but I feel that (name removed) really deserves to be praised for his excellent customer service skills.
After this incident, my boss has decided not to book flights with CheapTickets but because of what (name removed) did, I will surely convince him that aside from offering the lowest fares available, Cheaptickets is very customer-friendly, and it provides fast and effective solutions.

I made hotel reservations through these people, they took my money and never made the hotel reservations! On a flight from Houston to Frankfurt, I first received a "confirmation" for the two seats together I picked for my wife and self. Just before leaving my seats were different- one on each side of the aircraft (767). Booked a trip to London for 1 week, flight, hotel, and a walking tour. Hotel was supposed to have a phone, mini-bar, fridge, the usual amenities. Please do not use this company. They are less than forthright about any changes. My mother died in Oklahoma and my husband drove out to drive me back to Virginia. When I attempted to "use" the remaining portion of the ticket, Delta Airlines was wonderful but informed me that Cheaptickets required that my ticket must reflect a Tulsa to DCA trip. I purchased a multi-leg itinerary for a flight from Los Angeles to Bordeaux and back through cheaptickets. At almost every stage of the return journey I found that the airlines did not have a record of my ticket, and every time, at three airports -- Bordeaux, Amsterdam and Minneapolis -- I had to talk to supervisors and beg and cajole in order to get on the plane. You must not be doing your homework or you work for cheaptickets and posting a review would be illegal. Many people have posted not getting emails for flight changes but that is only one of many many complaints. If the majority of people are having problems don't come off smarter than everyone because more than likely you either got lucky or are lying. Here are somethings that I would like you to answer... Booked a ticket to Cairo 2 months in advance. . .The day before the riots. I waited for 2 weeks before called nearly every day to cancel. I was put on hold for a total of 4 hours and still not resolved. They are impossible to deal with just transfering you around and forgetting about you on the phone. I totally agree with you....SAVE YOUR MONEY; SHOP ELSEWHERE! I just got off the phone with a supervisor at Cheaptickets. After I booked flights for my sister and I, the confirmation through email showed that one of the traveller's name came up incorrect (like completely incorrect!! Not one letter which could have been my error, but a complete name!). In addition, I opted for the traveller's insurance but it didn't end up going through, so in the end I was told I would have to contact the insurance people to buy it separately! When I contacted them about the errors, they apologized, told me that they would fix the errors and that they would not charge me because of it. I never received any confirmation that the mistakes were fixed and after talking to about 3-4 representatives, I finally got through to a supervisor, who blamed the whole thing on me! I'm so shocked at the incident. Because I value my time more than spending hours on the phone and emailing these invalids, I told them to go ahead, charge me 70 USD to change the name, but I will never use their service again! I'm just shocked they blame me for their errors and then charge me for it...I guess business is not going so well for them afterall....understandable and well-earned!!
