Good Points: The site worked fine for me.
Bad Points: The flight numbers kept changing which was annoying.
General comments: Wow - I think I must be the only one who did not have a problem with CheapTickets! I paid for a multi-city Atlantic hop from Europe to America, through Canada, then back to Europe. It was 5 cities in all.
Site Navigation:
The site was relatively easy to use. I keyed in the cities and dates, and the site started compiling flights and prices. I ended up booking all the flights with Delta Airlines. No trouble when paying with my credit card.
Trip Updates:
The site emailed me automatically whenever there was a change to my itinerary. Mostly this was a regular changing of flight numbers. The actual flights - my selected dates and times - did not change, just the flight codes. This happened 4 or 5 times before I flew. I'm not sure if this was CheapTickets' fault. Delta might have been juggling the flight codes and CheapTickets was simply forwarding the new information to me.
It was kind of annoying anyway as I had to keep checking right up to the night before flying to make sure I had the most current itinerary. Other than that, no complaints.
Seat Assignment:
Some people mentioned horror stories about overbooked flights. I got worried, checked my seat assignment on CheapTickets and it all said confirmed. To double check I looked up my schedule on Delta.com and that all said confirmed as well. Then I called Delta customer service on the phone and triple checked with the operator, who confirmed it was all booked in.
The Trip:
Flights were completely trouble free. I walked into each airport with a printout of my itinerary from Delta.com, checked in, breezed through customs and security and onto the plane. Out of seven flights, only one plane (the final flight back to Europe) was delayed for an hour due to a security alert at JFK. It wasn't a huge deal as I was going home, so no onward plane at the other end.
Customer Service:
Never dealt with them. From the other people's comments on here, I'm extremely glad I didn't have to. For all my questions I skipped CheapTickets and contacted Delta directly (who were very helpful.)
Accommodation:
I organized all my accommodation separately. I used CheapTickets for the flights and nothing else.
Overall:
Would I use CheapTickets again? Honestly... probably not. I didn't have any hassle with them at all, but looking at other people's terrible experiences with CheapTickets I guess I was really lucky. Next time I go to North America I'd probably book with the airline carrier directly.

You might save a hundred bucks but you pay for what you get in my opinion.
We were assigned last rear seats of MD 80. Our window was about 8 inches from Engine nacelle. Could see only cowling of Engine. Very, very noisy for me.

My friends and I booked reservations with cheaptickets.com. When we got to Mexico our reservations were moved from the hotel we were staying at. We didn't hear from anyone that this was happening. I just got off the phone with a cheaptickets representative. I was on hold for 73 minutes. My return flight has changed twice since I booked it. Customer Service do not seem very helpful, I feel as though they just constantly tell me one thing, put me on hold, then come back with something entirely different.I have had much better experiences with Priceline and Orbitz. They have no customer service , really don't want to speak to you, as they never get back to you. And seem to do what they want with your flights, which is not suitable for a paying customer.
Would never use them again, and haven't even got off the ground yet, having read some of the other comments I am beginning to think that I might never get off on my holidays.

I needed to make a simple change to a reservation. I've made three calls so far and am no closer to getting it done. I was asked to return the paper ticket (who on earth uses paper tickets anymore besides this company?!?) and they now claim to have not received it. So now am I not able to get my return changed but have no ticket for my outbound. Don't bother using this site, unless you are sure you will NOT need to change your ticket. Customer service is unhelpful, they offered no help in exceptional circumstances as far as I am concerned. I do not recommend cheap tickets.com, I personally payed for the tickets but then as far as I am concerned could not get the money back when I wanted a refund.

Cheaptickets are well know for their bad service. They issued me a confirmation ticket and when I reached airport on early morning, I was told by the airline that no reservation was made. When I called Cheaptickets, customer service, they gave a bad response. They told, that airline did not accept the request, but how the hell they could charge me from my card and also issue a confirmation ticket. As, the name implies, they have a cheap attitude.

After 3 days and 8 hours on phone rehashing same problem,I was blown off by promising emails proving corrections had been made. They never came. finally straightened out problems through merciful airline customer service rep. I will never buy through them again.

The ticket prices offered by cheap tickets.com and the airline (Emirates) were identical. I purchased my ticket to Madrid (airline was Air Comet Plus) way back in January. I had to hear from my sister, who was going on the trip also, that Air Comet will no longer have flights between JFK and MAD. Never book tickets on the website CheapTickets.com. The name should have said it all but I just thought, how bad can a 1 hour flight be. 2 hrs and 15 minutes on the phone with customer service to try and get seat assignments for flight after they changed seats without my knowledge or approval. Checked with airlines and seats on return flight had still not been assigned . Wouldn't recommend this company. Not cheap, not efficient, not of any benefit.
