Good Points: entertaining
Bad Points: Food not great tasting, not a good variety.
General comments: Would maybe go again with girls, too noisy for romantic night, but id eat before i went.

Very disappointed that we were charged twice for one bottle of wine. The bill was not itemised, and we were unable to prove that we did not have the second bottle of wine. WE argued the point for over half an hour, but the management at Abbey Taverna in Waltham Abbey would not budge. They did in the end offer us a bottle of wine to take home with us, but we did not want that. We would have preferred the £16 that was taken from our bill. We went to the taverna in a group of 12 for a hen night - all age ranges from young relatives to Grandma.... Service was quick and attentive, entertainment was very enjoyable. The atmosphere was lively and fun and the restaurant was very busy - we left - promising to return. A good time was had by ALL.

We waited at the bar for about half an hour before being taken to our table at Abbey Taverna. We then waited another 15 minutes before deciding to go to the bar ourselves to order drinks. We were sent back and told a waiter will be sent over. 10 minutes later he arrived. It was the same for the food.
FINALLY - A WARNING - You need to bring a minder with you as you might get attacked by the yobs that hang around the bus stop outside the restaurant.
