Good Points: Cheap (£2) barrier admits you to parking and 6 miles of sand, including a Blue Flag beach and the beauty of Llandywyn Island. Perfect kids' beach and kite surfing haunt. Idyllic.
Bad Points: Few. Car park can be busy at peak times and loos are only facilities.
General comments: The forest and warrens at Newborough on Anglesey feature forest tracks, a wonderful beach, dunes to explore, an unofficial but long-established naturist area, fossils - on the island, not the beach! This place is a well-kept secret. Reach Newborough village by turning off for Llys Rhosyr at Newborough village (shop, pub, chippie, post office, 4 campsites/caravan parks). Handy for LlanfairPG and Snowdonia, plus daytrips to Ireland via Holyhead.
