Spent a week at Sandford September 2010 and had a lovely time. From the time of arriving we felt very welcome and the only problem we had was put right immediately. My daughter and her family of 11 month old boy and a 2 1/2 year old girl and her partner also had a caravan there at the same time.

This was our first Park Dean holiday and i am very pleased to say that we would definitley book again. The staff were fantastic and the caraven was very clean and tidy. We spent most evenings in the main hall with the park troopers, we have two children one 6yrs and one 2yrs, both our children enjoyed all the games and singing. They catered very well for both of them.

Sandford Weststar Holiday Park has gone down hill this year. we have been many times but noticed a big difference in the cleaniness and overall appearance of the park.none of the staff abide by the one-way system or the 10mph speed limit.they are the worst offenders!
No security walking around park as previous years.
The only thing that hasnt changed were the fabulous troopers who work so hard and are great entertainers for all ages. well done guys.
Need to improve to get our money next year.

We have just returned from 4 nights camping at Weststar Holiday Parks. First, the toilet facilities are shocking! Filthy is an understatement. the facilities were appauling. No hot water. Very low pressure, we all felt dirty the whole time we were there. No toilet paper!

PARKDEAN HOLIDAYS, Sandford Park, Nr Poole. We have recently returned from Sandford Park having loved going as children. The site has no rules cars drive around the site at all times of night which resulted in the car of one of our group being damage by someone returning to their pitch in the early hours of the morning. Booked a Sun offer holiday at Parkdean Sandford, as we did not pay much we did not expect much. However we were pleasently surprised, Got large caravan, not the latest model but it was clean and well equipped and everything worked ok (unlike the expensive "prestige" one we booked last year from another company it was a filthy dump) we also found the site clean and tidy with lots of trees and bushes, not just rows and rows of caravans. we did not go to all the entertainment but what we saw... we have just come back from a 4 night break at Weststar parkdean sandford and were very impressed. we have a child of 7 and of 2 years old and there was plenty for them to do. They both went to the free kids clubs and were allowed to go to both totstars and freelanders together even though thet were different ages. This was our 5th holiday with Parkdean formerly West-star, we had been to Sandford twice before, before it got modernised. Was impressed with what they had done to the site moving the outdoor pool, new restaurant etc, accomodation was a big let down, we have been to Parkdean/Weststar Mullion and their accommodation is spotless and well presented. Sorry but really disappointed with Weststar Holiday Parks, Standford. Been to quite a few campsites but this has been the worse. Too many pitches on one site in my view. We walked round to have a game of cricket/rounders. Nowhere to play!! They seem to have used up every inch of this site, and boy do you feel it! Sandford Holiday Park is great we have been now 4 times. The staff are brilliant and so friendly they always make time for you and the entertainment is fantastic. My children love it and so do I, come rain or shine there is always something to do. Can not wait to get back there.
Caravans are clean and tidy when we have always been and they deliver to your door extra pillows or sheets if you need them at no extra cost which is what you want.

We were expecting, because of the price and the glossy brochure, that we would be getting an up-market Haven-style holiday camp with lots of healthy, sporting activities, fields to run around and healthy food options.
Looking at the brochure now makes me laugh. If you have already booked I would recommend cancelling - for the standard you get at Westar there are far cheaper sites and for the money you're paying there are far, far better sites. Don't go if you want quality, luxury...

If you have rowdy teenagers to amuse or wish to spend your whole time in the club house or stuffing your face with over-priced and rather disappointing meals providing you can find somewhere to sit without having to get there extremely early, you will love this place.

Before we went away for our new year break to Sandford Holiday Park, I was terrified at what we were letting ourselves in for after reading the reviews on Review Centre. I am pleased to say however, that the camp excelled itself. The facilities were clean, welcoming, and large enough not to ever feel too crowded. We purchased one of the deals offered through the newspaper, and we weren't expecting to be overwhelmed by the facilities and accommodation, but we were totally speechless when we arrived at Sandford Weststar Holiday Park. After seeing what would be our accommodation for the next three days, we left! We went to Westatr Sandford Holiday park for a weeks holiday in our motorhome. The roads were very busy, and as we stepped out of the van we constantly had to jump back in to avoid getting run over, especially by big wagons. We had to wait all day to get into the Weststar Holiday Park. We were sent to the back of the queue to start queueing again when the caravan wasn't ready, although it never would have been ready in a million years, as it was dirty and it smelled terrible. The caravan was so old, we can only assume that Fred Flintstone was the previous owner.

The Sandford Holiday Park is not child friendly at all, all roads and caravans, no decent play areas, bikes charging around all the time, childrens so called park area small, and filthy with beer bottles and rubbish strewn evrywhere.
Indoor pool is so tiny you would not want to bother, outdoor pools looked dirty, and no slides.

Within 10 minutes of arriving at Sandford Weststar Holiday Park I was on the phone to Hoseasons asking to be moved. There were 6 in our party; Myself, Hubby and 2 kids (6 and 12) and my parents. We have just come back from our third holiday at Sandford Weststar Holiday park, and we have had a great time. The entertainment staff give 100%. We didn't see any rats, and the toilets and showers were clean. We will be going for a 4th visit I'm sure. Keep up the good work!

Sandford holiday park is the most enjoyable holiday camp I have ever been to. It's fun for all the family.
Everyone is helpful. The club is amazing, and it's just like home with a little laundrette.
I love the walks, and I'm so pleased dogs are allowed.
The mini golf course is so cool, and the swimming pools are perfect for everyone.

We have just come back from the Weststar holiday park (3.6.06). I can't believe the park was the same place that I saw in their brochure! The toilets were disgusting, unclean, cockroach invested, used condoms slung over shower heads, and never any paper in them. The bins for our rubbish were full when we arrived, and overflowing the day we left. We complained daily to the staff, while they listened promising to 'sort it out', they never did!
