This was our first time at a parkdean camp and we were a little worried as we have over the last ten years only ever gone to haven and butlins but have found that both of these have never been clean and my daughter has always been poorly because of dirty water and just the overall cleanliness, but parkdean was beautiful we went on a sun holidays promotion first time and did expect something to be wrong, but we were put in a bungalow which was spotless and the staff were very pleasant and very... We were worried, having read some negative reports from the website but we were happily reassured. Reception staff were informative and our chalet turned out to be just fine. It was clean and the neighbours were thankfully very quiet. The chalet we had, although basic, was not disappointing. We would come back again and would be happy to reommend a stay. (read more)

I booked a caravan for myself, partner, daughter, son-in-law, son and my two small grandchildren for last week. I paid almost £500 including insurance to stay in a Penzance caravan. Me and my partner could not get down until Sunday and my daughter and the rest of the family arrived on the Saturday. The caravan had not been cleaned - the place stank of smoke (still on the sunday when we arrived) the furnishing was ripped, windows were filthy and mouldy, the toilet and sinks had not been... We arrived to find the reception staff friendly and helpful and the directions to the caravan easy to follow. We found the caravan itself spotlessly clean and modern the kitchen had everything we could possibly need, yes the bedrooms and beds were a little small but we expected that in the basic caravan.

We have just returned from a week in a Penzance caravan. It was my fourth visit to Mullion holiday park. We will not go back. We travelled as a party of four with a dog. The caravan was in very poor state of repair. The windows in two of the rooms including one bedroom did not close propery and one of the rooms had an ineffective tiny heater. We were at Mullion for a week from the 28th August 2010. First impression going in was surely this is'nt the only part with the entertainment, the answer was yes and not big enough for the amount of people there. The only thing you did not have to pay for was the swimming pools, but again the were not big enough for the amount of people and the life guard's just sat there falling asleep or chatting. We walked into what was supposed to be a last years caravan, but it had to be at least 10years... We've just got back after spending four nights five days on this site with a 6 and 5 year old.

Very disappointed on arrival at the condition of the caravan, it was very dirty and needed serious cleaning before unloading our car. The outdoor pool was closed almost every day we were there and the indoor pool had slick surface areas where children could easily fall just walking. We have enjoyed 2 good holidays with Weststar at Looe Bay and Sandford, and we thought we'd give Mullion a go this year expecting a similar holiday. How wrong!
After a 9 hour drive we pulled up at the site, and knew immediately what we were in for. The site looked tatty, dirty and swarming with unruly brats. Then we got to our caravan. It was filthy! We stayed at Mullion in April 2005, and the weather during the day was lovely, however not Weststar's fault; the nights were freezing, we took our duvet and I would recommend this at this time of year. Be warned this is not HAVEN, but a smaller family run group, but all said and done is still good value for the younger family.
