The Alex Rider books are brilliant for a decent children's age range, I began reading them when I was 7 and enjoyed them until 12. I am nearly 15 now and though they are an easy-read and clearly unrealistic at my age now, I feel that I will have to read his final book, simply because I grew up with half of the books and I would like to see how we will end the series. Stormbreaker is very well-plotted and wittily written, but somehow feels emotionally flat. The first few chapters are brilliant but it goes a little downhill when Alex Rider arrives at Sayle Enterprises; there are no likeable characters besides Alex himself, and therefore no-one for him to interact with and express his feeling to. Blunt, and he & Mrs Jones assign him to training, which leads to carrying on Ian Rider's mission. He soon gets into excitement and danger, like being nearly killed in the long grass!! Well, in the begining Alex Rider's uncle got killed in a car crash and Alex finds out later that he was a spy for england. He needs to catch a guy because he is doing something that will possibly destroy the economy. So they do a test.....and he becomes a spy, A KID SPY, lol its a great book full of action and this kid really kicks butt....

I really recomend Stormbreaker. Even in the first few words I was sucked right in to the action. It was probly the best book I have ever read. It was a cool mix of suspence,action and everyday life. This book is about a kid named Alex Rider. Alex gets sent out on a spy mission to save the world. But i'm not going to tell you what the mission is am I?. Nope I'll save the fun for everyone else that wants to read it....
