the 1.9 cdti vivaro is a fantastic van to drive and is extreamly reliable. in the 5 years of ownership only had a couple of problems. the engine managment card needed replacing after 1 week on warrenty and also had problem with a sensor in fuel tank after 4 and half years. also had 3 windscreens which all had exactly same crack through them. other than that most reliable van ive ever owned.

    Vauxhall vivaro sportive 2.5cdti 150ps

On the face of it the van is excellent, fast, quiet, loads of extras and looks really good.

Have owned the van from new and have done 32000 miles. In this time the van has put itself in limp home mode a total of 7 times. Each time the van needs an oil and filter change due to 'poor oil quality'. Apparently this is due to it needing to regenerate but regen light has never been on!

The Vauxhall dealer thinks there is something wrong with it but Vauxhall t ...

Bought a Vauxhall Vivaro van 8months ago second hand, 04 plate with 40,000 miles on it for £4500. Just started having problems with it the last few days, with the gears. It has started to fall out of gear and the gears make a screeming noise. Took it to Vauxhall to, and the quote to repair it is £3800. Needs new gearbox and clutch and also a clutch slave. I would never buy one again.

Clean lines and despite others experience, my Vivaro drives like a dream. I motor down to Southern Spain every year and have not had any problems whatsoever. We converted ours to a camper with an extra window and air con.. I would definately buy another van and the 1.9 engine was perfectly adequate with the 6 gears which helped on the long stretches across Spain. I would allow, with hindsight, a much longer time for delivery and conversion. We had to buy extra door storage which should be stan ...

Great looking van, drives well, but not reiable, have had other problems with it, sensors etc but nothing as expensive as the gearbox, a working van needs reliability as a must and this sadly does not deliver the goods, too much down time, think I will go back to a Transit for the next one,as before, an expensive experiment unfortunately.

I use the Vauxhall Vivaro as a taxi and is brilliant apart from the seatbelts which have caused damage to the doors, but don't be put off. Far better than torneoo from Ford and the Viano from Mercedes. Still arguing with Vauxhall to get new sliding doors fitted.
There not the best customer service people to deal with!

The 1.9 dti 6 speed model Vauxhall Vivaro Mini Bus is the one to have with plenty of room in the rear and a good long distance drive they have ajustable hight seats and in and out steering wheel. Try and get one with electric windows if poss as winders catch on drivers seat if to high.
Beware of LOW milage gearbox leaks. The main shaft oil seals tend to go on the 6 speed models and spray the clutch plate with gear oil, so get that engine warm and check for leaks. Also try and take them on a lon ...
