The Nissan Primastar. Nice Drive, Comfortable. After buying it from new and only 21K miles needs new disks then after 58K needs new ones again. From day one electrics have been doggey, panels are so weak on roof that it has split. Transmission is a nightmare, in 58k I have had to replace the clutch, master and slave cylinder and now the gear cables have worn, for a four year old van I have now spent £4500 on repairs and changeing parts which are either not covered by warrenty or the war ...

STAY WELL AWAY! The name Nissan has been sold out cheap on this van! Go for a VW or Toyota!

I have had problems from week one with my Primastar. Gearbox / clutch , immobiliser and now the throttle sticks. Much worse in cold weather. Nissan GB can't help much.
For your own sanity do not buy one of these.

Don't bother with even thinking about buying one of these vehicles, whether it be any of the brands. Mine is a Nissan Primastar - same bad make, different badge. You will be throwing your hard-earned cash away!!
I'm buying the new transit in the new year. 40 years old and still going strong - that speaks for itself
If you have one of these, I would say get rid as re-sale value on these things will be very little. It will be the next Lada of the van world!!!!!

After only 43000 miles of motorway mileage, not much heavy breaking, nissan now say that the front and back discs need replacing on my
Nissan Primastar Truck, now I can understand pads being replaced... thats normal, but discs?
Their excuse/reason for this - "its because they don't use asbestos in brake shoes anymore"... come on nissan your having a laugh... aren't you!!!
