Horrendous service.. Very rude, Unaccomadating, Unbeleiveably bad. Rude manager too, Stuart Walsh. Avoid at all costs. Has ruined a good food brand in Chelmsford. Best Harvester is in Rayleigh Essex. Excellent service there. (read more)

I found this review not helpful because... ummm why a 5 star rating for a restaurant not visited following a 3hour wait for a telephone booking to be taken. Pants. A technical term for a crap non-review.

Overall a very unpleasent experience at The Plough Harvester. Would expect better from a big chain. I experienced seemingly dirty glasses sitting on dusty, dirty shelves.
Long waiting time due to staff apparently counting tips at the end of the bar.
Poor beer garden, with no amenities for kids.
No ice for drinks, warm bottles of beer.
