Travelled with group of 6 people (3 sets of couples including myself & my boyfriend). When we arrived SOME staff v. helpful, rooms v. clean, food in the hotel revolting!!

Sunny Beach, Sever/Yug Hotel NOT as cheap as everyone made out. I spent £1,100 in a week and i am not big drinker or eater. Was expensive to use the safes, some maids were cheeky and rude! One night at 6am Bulgarian polica arrived to arrest someone!!

The cost of a safe to keep your money, passports in was expensive. It would have cost us around £64 for the fortnight. The hotel was expensive compared to other places in the resort around 3 lev for a beer, which you could have for 1 lev in the flower pub around the corner by the supermarket. The rep gives you 15% off tokens but they will try and refuse to take them, in the end we gave up. The sun loungers by the pool are a joke. People are there first thing putting their towels on th ...

Most staff friendly some not so. Some understand english more than other so speak clearly. Breakfast ok but could have been better. My partner enjoyed it as he liked the kind of stuff on offer

My husband & I arrived at Polyusi apartments about 3.30am, reception staff were nice, we were shown to our room by a porter - good job as it was in a separate building from hotel. We had to walk through the grounds in the dark, as the lights went off at 1am & we couldn't see a hand in front of us. We had own pool for apartments but could never get a sunbed until about 4pm as everyone had their towels on from early in the morning. Never ate in hotel but was told it wasn't all that nice. Sunny bea ...

This is our third time to Sunny Beach. It has got more crowded but that is to be expected has people find out about the place. Plenty of places to eat. Our favourite was La Banana. The food was good and very cheap. The amount of food on the plates was unbelievable. My husband and I are 60 and 61. Most of the people there were a lot younger but that didn't spoil our holiday. Don't go there expected it to be the same as Spain. A holiday is what you make it.

Bar staff were very nice and helpful). Beach is lovely, food is nice (if you find the right place). Hotel (owner or manager) don't know which, is the worst I have ever met. He is not a bit friendly. The rooms are tiny, two single beds pushed together and a camp bed and just enough room to walk between.I was told prices of things were very cheap, but this is wrong everyone there is out to rip you off. My friend was out there with us, he was there five years ago and said every thing has changed and ...

We stayed b&b absolutely disgusting! Our balcony overlooked a felt roof which was used as an ashtray and on one occasion a urinal. We reported this and asked to be moved but nothing was done. The rep was useless. No parasols around the pool only in the eating areas which you weren't allowed to sit around you had to either buy a drink or food. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to families, as the television channels show porn which anyone can view, we had two teenagers with us.

We had a power cut one day for nearly 9 hrs which ok is not their fault but I needed access to hot water in the morning to heat a baby's bottle up, was told no you cant have any!!!!!!!!!! Even though the waitress in question was pouring herself a cup of coffee! Another guest in the hotel managed to get some for me as I was so upset. I then asked for a highchair was told no sorry we have no highchairs here (my room was on the 5th floor so I couldn't get the buggy down 5 flights of stairs!! A youn ...

Can state I will never holiday in Bulgaria again. People are rude. Rep's don't want to know about problems. Staff were ignorant. Didn't want to know if you weren't spending money at the complex. Rooms were tiny. Couldn't eat the food. Breakfast was disgusting.

There are two pools one which is 0.50 metres deep for the children and one which is 1.60 - 2metres deep for those looking for a spacious and clean pool. The rooms a very basic but very good in the fact that they have everything you need including a TV and a mini fridge in the family rooms. there's an internet room and its only 1 lev for 15 minutes which is brilliant value for money. there are two bars with plenty of seating space and in the reception area.

The bad points are you have to pay 3 ...

Sunny Beach, Sever/Yug Hotel (Polyusi) - This hotel is great for families. It has 2 bars (one of which is open 24 hours). The evening meals in the restaurant are good (although half-board guests have a set menu, with a reasonable choice, which is changed weekly). The a-la-carte menu is much more extensive. I wasn't impressed with the breakfasts - milk and butter tasted off both times I went for breakfast. After that we gave up and had a cooked breakfast elsewhere.

There is an Indian rest ...
