I have owned almost all the Frontier Labs products, so I thought I'd give this Frontier Labs NEXKube a try.

It's not good. First, as a Portable MP3 player, you don't have any choices. You basically have to start with the first song on your memory card and skip forward or backward until you reach where you want. The nice thing is, that it skips forward and backward quickly.

There is no bookmarking, so every time you start, you have to search for where you were.

As a memory storage device, it's a bit large (even though it's a small unit, other storage devices are so tiny now that this seems useless) Also, it's a bit expensive for a storage device, considering that you have to buy the compact flash separately.

The case is poorly designed. The battery compartment requires some kind of prying device to get it open and the case itself requires a big effort to open it.

I went back to my Nex ia - a much better product, and only about $20 more.
