    Good Points: Was a nice resort, beautiful, staff were friendly although maids and such didn't know much english. Beautiful beach.


    Bad Points: Of about 40 people going I'd say about half of us got stomach sick, and still aren't feeling well and we've been back for 3 days.. I'd don't know what caused it, the food or the water, no idea because we only drank bottled water. Regardless A LOT of us got sick and cannot still eat normally to this day.


    General comments: Was a nice resort, beautiful, staff were friendly although maids and such didn't know much english. Beautiful beach.
    However, I would NOT recommend this resort to anyone I know due to the above bad points. Definitely not worth in my opinion the $2400 cdn we paid for it. Will never return.

    All I have to say is best vacation of my life. My family and I travel to different destinations every Christmas and Bahia Principe was the best trip we've ever been on.
    First, the staff are wonderful. They are friendly and helpful, and really set the tone of the resort.
    The rooms were great. Beautiful colour schemes and a nice little balcony. If you need an alarm clock, I suggest you bring one from home. In the bathroom, we had a separate toilet area which was nice considering I was sharing ...

    Apart from the beauty, I would suggest not to stay at Bahia Principe Vardero, perhaps stay in another area of Cuba. The food was terrible. Many people got sick. My daughter was very sick and we lost 2 days of vacation. Of all the places I have been in Cuba, I found this 5 star hotel to be the least pleasant. The people, in general, were not as nice as those I have met in other parts of Cuba. There was far less of an understanding of english than in other areas of Cuba.

    Bahia Principe Varadero

    The beaches are beautiful; however, there is a riptide near the rocks on either side of the beach, with no warning-signs. It is definitely not safe for children or elderly, especially people that are not strong swimmers.

    This hotel had very poor quality service, very few employees spoke English, and when we had problems they had very poor customer service skills.
