Please be aware to read the review before you are committed to buy the product under Burberry logo. I bought a jacket for $150.00 based on the look at the website. At first I was surprise that the credit card was cashed in China. After sometimes (mote than a month) I received the jecket that was way too small for a Large size, and the material is not at all the same as the picture posted at Burberry.com, it was plastic material almost like trash bag. I have been buying burburry polo shirts but recently the fabric material is not good it got shrinked and it faded from underarm area even I am using the same deodorant on all other shirts they are fine but now I called burrbury customer service and went to NYC store but they totally ignored the problem I would recommend not to buy there polo shirts at all you may also experience the same problem (read more)

Received a cashmere scarf from my boss. Emailed Burberry regarding return policy. Was told that item must be returned by purchaser, refund will be given in the same way that payment was made, must be done within 30 days. So, basically, if you receive a gift from Burberry, it is not possible to return it. I didn't want to insult my boss by telling him I did not like his gift, so I am stuck with a $400 scarf that I will not wear. They DO NOT WANT TO TAKE ANYTHING BACK!!! Makes me wonder how... I bought a dress there but the dress did not fit so I wanted to return it. The staffs ( including the manager)were kind of insulting me by saying the dress smelled bad and didn't give me the refund. It was not clear to me that it was because of that dress or they said what they said because of the colour of my skin? Sovereign cigarettes changed their packaging to include the Burberry pattern, need I say more but two brands synonomous with Chavs merge to make a stronger force. They should join up with Elizabeth Duke as well and become triple threat!!
I cant believe that anyone buys this brand, even worse young single mothers have to compete by having a Burberry pushchair and changing mat, effectively turning their young, innocent and defenseless babies in to chavs.

I'm surprised to see that I'm not the only one having poor customer service with Burberry.com, but feel validated for feeling outraged. They do take forever to process returns, and in one instance, they told me I returned an item too late because the timeline starts when the item leaves the warehouse. I assumed the clock starts ticking when I actually have the item in my possession.

Burberry.com has the worst customer services I've ever come across. They have totally messed up my order. They are unable to change a size of an order when you have placed it that day and called up within 30 minutes to ask this. They say they don't take the money until the item is dispatched not true; they freeze the amount of the order off your account at time of ordering. I now have £500 frozen on my account by them and an order which is supposed to be cancelled and all I get from them... (read more)

I purchased a gift on Burberry.com, I had to return the gift and it was the worst online experience I ever had. Their return process takes for ever. I returned the item back to them using the return label they ship you. First of all it took them 14 days to get it and after they get it, they claim it will take another 14 days to process the refund. I returned the bag on July 28th and os of today, August 23rd I have not received a refund!! Will never buy on Burberry.com, is better to shop... (read more)

Many of my female friends and relatives are loyal burberry clients and I have purchased a few items there myself. Usually, I get my sunglasses from Burberry as I like their style. It amazes me that one would wear anything they have purchased from Burberry or, even worse, a Burberry fake. Why anyone would want to invite themselves to be ridiculed for wearing a chav brand is beyond me. Of course, now that it is only the chavs that wear it, they probably will not understand this review and that is assuming they can read. (read more)

<br/>I have always liked (in fact 'loved') the traditional Burberry check ... for at least 40 years ... so I'm not a 'chav'. Despite the chav-effect, I'm now in a position to buy some items and I could care less about what anyone else thinks. In this respect you have to totally ignore the 'chavs' and all the rest, and buy what you like.

I found the service at the Burberry Outlet store in Portsmouth to be of high quality. The entire shop looked great and I was helped by all the staff. The clothes themselves were well presented and I ended up spending over £900 because of the salesmanship of the two salespeople who served me. The reason why I like Burberry so much is that their clothes are for real women. That the fabrics and lining are nice and comfortable. The plaid is a nice symbol of British lifestyle, but if you cover yourself in it, it looks trashy. I visted the store in London and I thought this is a place where I could buy my clothes. However, when I looked at the price tag well, Burberry was for special occasions. So I would recommend Burberry for the people with a fat wallet. (read more)

To be fair, when this design came out it was probably seen as very classy and upmarket for high flyers who wanted to be seen as being successful.
Now, unfortunately, the masses have adopted it as a form of bling to go with their hideous gold clown pendants, Von Bitch copy t-shirts, trakkie bottoms, Rockport boots and fatherless new-borns sporting Claire accessory creole earrings!
Please, I implore you! Drop this design and disassociate yourselves as far away from these kinds of lowlife...

What a total snob you are, trying to make out that anyone wearing the classic Burberry check is below you class wise. Comments like this are damaging to Burberry, to make out that anyone wearing their check design is as your comments, would put people off wearing the check, take no notice and keep wearing their great designs.

I understand your point. But please take disparagement of other people's fashion statements somewhere else. Your review was riddled with stereotypes and I found it very hard to respect. I have a very nice Burberry trenchcoat which I bought from Burberry's in Regent Street about 15 years ago to replace the one that got pinched while I was having dinner at the House of Commons. Just goes to show that you couldn't trust anyone even then. I'm very fond of that trenchcoat and it's still in excellent condition. I had no idea that Burberry had such a huge following these days. People used to buy their products because they were of very high quality, i think even HMQ used to wear a Burberry headscarf on occasion. It would appear that today people buy Burberry for reasons of fashion, which usually results in the quality of the product coming down. There are so many good quality clothes out there, why bother to drape the entire family from head to foot in Burberry. You are inviting opinions so, to be quite frank, I think it's a bit of a tacky thing to do. You might have a bit of money but you may not have any taste or style.

We are a working class family who happen to love burberry. We are not rich but I don't drink, gamble or smoke. My vice is burberry. I dont want my grandsons to look like most other kids walking round in a pair of tracky bottoms and a football shirt. I have taste and my grandsons have style. We don't wear it as a fashion thing. As you stated in your review you bought a trench coat 15 years ago, I've just bought a black trenchcoat. Fashion lasts 6 months not 15 years.

burburry was probably the in-thing a few years ago, but once the burgeoning peasant underclass got hold of it, it became the signal of it's demise. Mainly due to the baseball cap phenomenon of British Chav culture who tend to wear them in conjuction with tracksuit bottoms tucked into their socks and Rockport ankle boots, not nice.
I urge the company to drop this design and disassociate itself from this class of society!

Burberry just goes to show that money can't buy style. How on earth people can think that awful pattern is fashionable I don't know, and then stick it on everything they can think of. What's next? Burberry nappies? Actually that's not a bad idea, at least then it'll be put to good use.

My sister-in-law has some fantastic-looking Burberry coffee mugs. I wouldn't wear the pattern as it's far too recognizeable and I refuse to be a walking billboard, but the mugs do look nice in the house as the cappuccino-esque brown matches the rest of her decor. Very smart!

Gosh, since 1856 Sue. In 1938, I had a genuine Burberry raincoat (so I was told) and in those days, ANY similair raincoat was called a 'Burberry' - just like a lot of people call any vacuum cleaner a 'Hoover'.
