Good Points: Well behaved ponies, good teaching, with strict rules but very precise, but lovely and fun with it. Learn how to tack and untack ponies before and after riding. So you are not just on and off the ponies for a ride ,but a hands on approach. Lots of activities at the weekend.

Bad Points: Can't think of any. I really enjoy going horse riding here.

General comments: Very well run stables. All ponies and horses are well looked after and everyone just loves them. Pony days are great and so is the activity club and Saturdays, with Dressage and Working Hunter Events. Everyone get a rossette for taking part.

I have been riding at Breaston for a few months now after not riding for about 5 years. The instructors are really good and I have settled back into riding quickly. The horses are all wonderful and you normally ride a different horse each week meaning you are always ajusting your riding style. I would definately recommend it to anyone who wants to ride.

G's comments: At Breaston Equestrian Centre Rosie is one of my favourite ponies because sometimes she is challenging to get her over a narrow jump. I also think that Libby is very challenging especially when you are riding in a big group. But most of all I think it is great fun!!!!! S's comments: At Breaston Equestrian Centre, you learn something every lesson. There are a wide range of horses and ponies to ride (usually Ruby, Flynn, Gem, Dave, Rosie, Libby, Babs, Treacle, Toy, Dylan, Bracken ...

Genrally a good stables. The horses are all happy and the instructors are happy to help. I had a serious fall there and the staff dealt with it well. The only problem i can think of was that you had to pay more if you missed a lesson and the price was quite high. But i did learn alot

I have rode there for as long as I can remember and I honestly think this is one of the best riding schools of all time! The horse are treated really well , always seem happy and everyone is always willing to help. The teaching is really knowledgeable as they always know how to get you to the top or to improve! The only reason people may go home crying is because it was so super! Some people just simply dont understand the actual effort riding is and that if you don't stay as the boss of the hor ...

I've been riding for a while after riding at st leonards riding school (terrible by the way) and I have never had a bad thing happen. All the horses are lovely (especially Rosie and Babs). I've learnt much much more and I'm soon to join a riding club there. Whoever said going home in tears, it's happened once because a girl didn't like dressage :P lol! (we were doing dressage by the way) all horses forward going, definitely recommended!

I rode at Breaston for 3-4 yrs from 2002 and loved it. The horses were always happy and friendly and willing to work and the majority are forward going wherever they are ridden. I do agree with some of the comments that have been made about the teaching but i have certainly never gone home in tears! Any info about horse changes in the past 1-2 yrs would be greatly appreciated. the horses that were there when i was are: BEN, a chestnut gelding who was a trained dressage horse and was VERY bo ...

I only just got back from my first lesson there, and I learned a lot more in this lesson than I have done in 4 months riding at my past riding school. Although more expensive, it is worth every penny! Everyone was so nice, and all the horses were so forward going!

I think the ponies at Breaston Equestrian Centre in Derbyshire are well cared for and are all excellent to ride, all the ponies and horses are forward going for you. The staff and instructors are nice and keep a watchful eye on you for heath and safety. I rode yesterday and it was the best lesson I've had in years!!!!! I've recently moved there from a different riding school and I highly recommend this riding school.
