Finlow hill stables is an excellent riding school, I'm 13 years old and have made loads of friends my own age. The teachers are really nice and they hold lots of shows, many of which I have taken part in. I have had my pony there for 3 years and been riding there for an extra 3 years, overall I have been at Finlow Hill for 6 years. Very good value for money. The horses are well kept and customers are treated with the upmost respect. Very child friendly and I wouldn't go anywhere else!Good... (read more)

Absolutely wonderful place to ride, didn't ride here for long due to medical conditions, but for the few months I was there, I really enjoyed it. The staff were so helpful and pleasant, instructors had real knowledge and explained everything in detail that you didn't understand, a real can do attitude but not forcing you to do anything, also taught you all individually (in a group lesson) as well as just throwing commands out. Finlow Hill Stable Is a extremely child friendly facility, I've had my pony on livery their for about 3 years now and i have been riding since i was 7. I used to go to Mobily Riding school this school was the worst riding school i had ever been to and the staff were nowhere near as kind, friendly and helpful as Finlow. finlow hill has very good facilities avalable, good value for money and is a nice environment. friendly staff and well kept horses. i personally would recommend finlow to anyone interested in horse riding. i also like how they do vouchers for one-to-one lessons. i don't really like anything, because they offer alot for horse riders. Finlow Hill is set in a beautiful area with views across Cheshire, near to the Edge at Alderly with its woods.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and obviously love the horses and ponies in their care, with low staff turnover.

I've been riding side-saddle at Finlow for a long time, after being ill and having great muscle wasting I felt unsafe riding astride, and side-saddle gave me the security to carry on riding. Now my health has improved I also ride astride but I love my riding... (read more)

Finlow Hill had been recommended to us, so we gave them a ring . We had my daughters name added to the waiting list as sundays were fully booked at this particular time. We only had to wait a few weeks. My daughter rides on a sunday morning and is thrilled with the tution, the horses and the instuctor. The staff could not be more welcoming. The facilities are out standing. I watch each week with a hot drink from the vendor.There is plenty of seating for spectators.The stables are beautiful... (read more)

I like it when Leanne teaches me jumping.

The school is really good fun, because everyone is friendly.

During my lesson I do trotting, jumping and sometimes cantering.

Finlow Hill is by far the best stables I have ever been to. Not only are the staff friendly and welcoming but they have increased my confidence massively. A delicate balance between support and a "get on with it" attitude is fabulous - five stars to all! I have learnt so much and am so glad I found Finlow! (read more)

I love finlow hill Satbles. Myy riding has improved massivley, and now i am loaning horse where i live in bollington because theyy have boasted my confidence and my riding ability. I will continue to have my lessons and look forward to them every week. Myy mum has took lessons early in 2009 and had little confidence but if it wasn'tt for the teachers, Katie and Leanne she would of given up long ago. I think that Finlow Hill Stables is an amazing riding school. There is a wide range of horses and ponies and the whole place is beaming with happines. It is great for beginners and for experts. There is nothing I didn't like about it. They pick out on every little detail and that's great! They teach you other things just than to ride a horse, like how to tack and untack (Put the equipment on and off the horse).
They also hold great events there like hacks (Riding on the road) around the town... (read more)

I like the fact that there is a wide range of different size,
ability,temperaments of horses. The riding instructers are very good, they are fun but at the same time you learn alot from them and the lessons are varied. But we tend to ride the same horses each lesson so it would be nice for a change. Apart from that the stables are very good and the horses are well looked after. (read more)

I have being going to finlow hill for 7 years now , i really enjoy it , the staff are lovely and always welcoming and there is a really nice atmosphere. It is good value for money and they have a good range of horses and ponies and all the teachers are well qualified. the facilities are excellent and the care for the horses is brilliant. i would definately recommend for anyone who wants to start riding to go there as they have a very high standard. i think that finlow stables have very good facilities and are defantly worth the money. i would gladly recommend these stables to a friend due to how nice the people are to you there if you are new. i got a very big greeting when i came and i felt really welcomed. the first person to greet me was leanne and without fail she has taken every lesson with me so far. i went to moberly riding school and finlow at the same time, but in the end i chose finlow because they were a better riding school... Finlow Hill Stables has amazing facilities all the staff are friendly and helpfull, ive never once felt that i could not ask them for help. I loan a horse there and i thoroughly enjoy it. the least child friendly riding school ever went to Finlow Hill Stables a few years ago and kids were wellcome not any more would of loved to ride with my daughter not much chance of that, carnt think of anything good to say i whatch my sister ride here and the lesson was not fun for her very technical but not understandable i feel the instructor should of explained things more simoly instead of trying to make her self look good! Finlow Hill is a great stables and is in a fabulous location. The staff are very friendly and you learn a lot from each lesson.
i liked how the staff were very welcoming when i first joined and they showed me around.
It is really nice to go their for a pony day as each time i went we went on a hack.
The horses are well trained and are very nice. It is the best stables i have ever been to. (read more)

Having taken up riding at the age of 25 i started at another local riding school but found i wasnt progressing as well as i'd hoped. I then found Finlow after a month or 2 out of the saddle due to a shoulder injury.
Finlow Hill is a really friendly, well maintained riding school with lots of lovely horses and teachers who are all very helpful.
I ride lots of different horses which has helped me over the past 2 years to gain more confidence when on a horse that is a little more lively!!!

Since the down grade of the childrens riding school the stables has improved again with more adults in the lessons at the weekend and the tuition is just as good as it was. I have noticed whilst I have been riding that there are many new people coming to ride which is nice to see. (read more)

We have always been made to feel welcome.
The horses are very well looked after, and a pleasure to ride. They are rested often to keep them happy, and this shows.
The prices are very competitive. The livery horses are beautiful and win lots of competitions outside of the stables. (read more)

I started riding around about 2 years ago at Finlow hill and really love it. The riding instructors are really nice and the horses are kind, well trained and very gentle.

In the last 2 years, I have leart to walk, trot, canter, jump and lots more fun things to do.

Each year, they put on a show and it's really funny. There is dressage, show jumping and cross country.

I think that it is really fun and challenging at Finlow Hill with great teachers that care about you, and horses that are well...

I started off when i was young and didn't even know what the thing you sit on was called.I started off down the lane which is where the begginers start off and get lead and after about 7 months down the lane ( I wasn't very good at controlling the ponies by myself! )

i have been riding for fives years now, i love it, there are beautiful horses, great people and brilliant facilities. when i first started i had only riden my cousins horse before so when i came to Finlow i could only just trot but now after exellent lessons with brilliant teachers i can walk, trot, canter, gallop and jump. The stables are relatively unknown and some individuals may favour a school with an indoor arena. I am, however, sure that even a fair weather rider would be converted once they see the beautiful views from the outdoor arenas and/or experience a hack across this unspoilt part of the Cheshire countryside. Riding is an outdoor sport and it could be argued that the lack of an indoor arena makes for a more aware and competent rider.

Finlow Hill stables is perfect for any rider, novis or experienced, you can have group or private lessons. The horses are fab. Big horses and small horses. Not every horse is not always well behaved but the teachers help you with any kind of problems. Jumping is the best and cantering is also brill.
I have only been riding 1 and a half years and I can jump thanks to all the teachers. You can also go on pony days and choose what ever horse you want to go on and you have to muck out groom and... (read more)
